THE NEXT day, Elise was disturbed by a soft knock while she was burrowing her head between the pages. The sound continued and she rose up, placing the book she was holding at the top of the piling books on her bedside table.

"Elise!" Faylinn's excited voice filled the room followed by the steps of the same maid who assisted her yesterday.

"Good morning, Faylinn." she greeted, "What is it?"

"Good morning too. Good thing you're dressed already. We're going to Blaze!" Faylinn squealed.

"Huh? What?" Her brows bunched up together.

She already planned to stay in their palace the whole day. She had received Aricson's permission to go to their library after he returned her belongings which, fortunately, he hadn't thrown as the maids had told her.

Elise was honestly intrigued by their world and decided that maybe she could learn something from there to help her go back. But, she got caught up in the pure heaven she had stepped into.

Their library was a dream come true for a nerd like her.
She even brought some books back with her to continue her reading marathon.

"Come on," Faylinn goaded while she was in a daze.

Elise glanced at the hardbound book on the bedside table with embossed words —Animals and Apothecary — before turning to Faylinn again, who was looking at her with sparkling eyes.

It seemed like her plans would be postponed from the eagerness of the women across her. Elise dejectedly bobbed her head.

"Good! You definitely need your own set of clothes since you'll be staying here. You only have that weird clothes Erkhan showed me," Faylinn mentioned.

"I think what I'm wearing is fine."

Elise scanned her outfit. It was an emerald green dress with a white chiffon blouse and pleated bottoms. She thought that she would be wearing medieval outfits like the one Dryann wore but seeing her clothes and Faylinn's were both knee-lengths, it seemed that there was a hint of modernity in this world.

Faylinn groaned. "The ones you wore were all my old dresses and there's a reason they're not used anymore. Besides, it doesn't suit you."

Her eyebrow arched. "You're quite blunt, huh?"

Faylinn's lips curved on both ends before responding, "Only when we're talking about clothes."

"I think it fits me alright and I don't want to trouble you," she still refused.

Elise was already thankful she was staying under a roof in an unknown place. Although she also had a lavish life in her world, she would not dare take advantage of the people helping her.

'I still have my pride.'

"It suits you since you're so pretty but it's nicer to have a set of your own clothes. Moreover, Aricson already agreed," Faylinn persisted as well, trying to convince the stubbornness out of her.

"There's truly no need. I won't stay here for long anyway," she mumbled but it fell on deaf ears.

"No more arguments. I'll take you to the dressmaker." Faylinn held her hand and lead her out of her room.

FROM AFAR, Elise could see Erkhan waiting beside a carriage with a middle-aged man. Although she had seen carriages when she traveled in different countries, this was a different case.
