"let's go home?" He asked her wiping away her tears, "hmm," She nodded.

"He got up on his feet and extended his hand to her, her trembling hands slowly took his as she helped herself up, he smiled at her as he intertwined their fingers, just as he turned and took a step forward, he was stopped as she pulled his hand, "Hmm?" He turned back to her, she immediately raised her free hand and covered her face, "I don't... I can't go back like this," She muttered hiding her face that was painted red with blood.

"Hmm," He nodded then his face broke into a smile, he took off his jacket and covered her head, "hmm?" She was surprised by the sudden gesture, she held the jacket and was about to lift it off her face when she suddenly felt being raised above the ground, she yelped as he picked her up in a bridal style. "Now no one can see you and we can go home without worry, hmm?" He held her closer as he whispered to her. "Now, hold on tight," he told her.

A small smile crept on her lips as she leaned in closer resting her head on his chest she wrapped her arms around his neck. A few moments later, they arrived near the packhouse, he then whispered to her, "we're here," She immediately pulled the jacket covering it up to her shoulders, she then clutched on to his shirt as she hid her face against his chest.

"It's okay," He whispered, patting her arms, "I'm here, no one can come near without my permission," He assured her.

"Hmm," She nodded but she was feeling restless, she couldn't point it out but something was not right, she wasn't feeling right. The more they got closer, the restless she was. But she noticed something weird, it was early morning and there was no noise in the street, she couldn't hear any activity, footsteps, any voice, nothing but pure silence, she slowly lifted up the jacked and peeked out, she noticed that the street was empty, "I told you..." He started, she shifted her gaze at him,  "no one can approach without my permission," He winked at her as they made their way to the house.

 She smiled back at him.

Just then, they heard footsteps, Regan halted on his way, Alexa immediately clung to him, he then lifted his gaze to look at the person who had defied his orders, "Carla," He narrowed his eyes at her.

"Reagan," She smiled at him.

"Why are you out here?" He asked her.

"I came to get you guys," She replied as she eyed Alexa in his arms.

"I bet I told everyone to stay inside and I don't remember you being an exception," He glared at her.

"Oh come on, don't be so pricky," She brushed it off with a laugh, she then swiftly came closer and tried to lift the jacket off her face, "Back off," He shouted, his anger was clear in his voice, even Alexa flinched at that, but Carla she had the nerve to question him, "What are you trying to hide so desperately?" She brought her hands closer to lift the jacket when suddenly she felt a piercing pain in her wrist, "Oww!" She yelled in pain as her whole body contoured in pain, "Reagan!" She yelled at him, "You should've known better than to defy me!" He growled in response as she fell on her knees.

Alexa was surprised by her screams, she was tempted to throw her jacket away and look at what had happened but was debating against it. "It's okay, you're safe now," He muttered as he continued to walk leaving Carla writhing in pain.

After reaching the room, he gently lowered her on the bed, removing the jacket off her face, she looked at the unfamiliar surrounding, this wasn't her room, she frowned. "I know," he knelt down in front of her, "it's mine," he replied to her unasked question.

She narrowed her eyes at him, "I read your face," He said in his defense. "Anyway, no one will bother you here," He told her as he grabbed the towel and passed it to her, "take a shower, first, Leah must be on her way with your clothes," he added.

"What did you do to her?" Alexa asked him. He made a poker face, "You know who am I talking about," Alexa rolled her eyes.

"Just a little punishment," he shrugged.

"The way she was screaming, that didn't look like 'a little'" She replied sarcastically.

"But I sense happiness in your voice," He chuckled in response.

Alexa suppressed her smile and shook her head.

"She seemed to be flying around, so I just brought her to the ground," He replied with a serious face, "Alpha's orders are absolute and she defied them," He added. "I have the power over my pack to hold them down on my command."

"You have some good powers, I see," Alexa nodded.

"Ah-huh?" He raised his brows which yearned him a carefree laugh from her, "Hmm," she nodded. He looked at her lovingly.

They were then interrupted by the knock on the door, Soon after Leah peeked in, "Can I come in?" She asked.

"Yes," He nodded.

As soon as she entered the room she froze in her place, she blinked at the person who was covered up in blood from head to toe, Alexa immediately hid behind Reagan. "Hey now, it's just Leah," he tried to pacify her. "Sorry, Lee, you had to see me like this," Alexa muttered.

Leah then snapped out of it and shook her head, "Nevermind these, you should see me when I'm on the hunt, I'm worst," Leah laughed it off but the word hunt haunted Alexa.

"Lee," Reagan gave her a reprimanding look.

"Anyway, brother, you need to get out as our Alexa need to get changed, you've had enough time with your mate now I need some time with her too, I've been very worried over my bff, so let us have some bestie's time, hmm?"

"Alex?" He looked over his shoulder, she then hesitantly let him go. Before leaving, he turned to her, "Alex, last night before you were kidnapped, did you see Carla around?" He asked.

"I don't remember much, I only heard you calling out to me and that's it," She shrugged.

"Okay," he pursed his lips in a tight line.

"Why?" She raised her brows at him.

"Nothing," he shook his head then he made his way out of the room.
