Nova danced lively to the beat of the music the drowned out the voices around her. The lights blinked every second like they were flickering to a steady rhythm. The neon pink heart painted on Nova's cheek glowed under the black lights. 

"Hello," someone greeted over the music. His eyes scanned down Nova's body. "I'm getting you a drink."

"Yeah, no," Sirius said. "I don't like this."

"You and me both, brother," Regulu agreed. 

Nova's neon green top was flowy while her white jean shorts were not. 

"No thanks. I'm good," Nova replied as she downed a shot of tequila. 

"You hold your liquor pretty good for a girl, by the way." The boy flirted. His was jacked like body-builder jacked. He neglected a shirt and his white hair had green tips that were obviously sprayed in. "There is nothing more attractive than a girl who can hold her liquor."

"My boyfriend thinks so too," Nova stated sassily. "And that is one of the most sexist shit I have ever heard." 

Nova walked away as she flipped the boy off leaving him completely dumbstruck. 

It was the middle of July, meaning summer had begun. Nova, who had been on Summer Vacation for five weeks (she left school shortly after her father's death), had begun to heal. She still fought tears as she passed things that made her think of her Da. She still mourned for her Da, but she was getting better. There were days where Nova would lock herself in her room and blast music. There were days Nova was completely fine. 

But tonight, Nova needed a break. 

Dumbledore had Remus on a mission to recruit and turn werewolves to the side of the Order. Nova knew this was for the greater good, but she wanted her Pa. Call her selfish for wanting him to be there when she wants to talk about Da and eat chocolate. 

On an unrelated note, Nova moved between three different houses. 

She often stayed with Andromeda (who she adores). Tonks and Teddy lived there for now until it's safe enough for Tonks to return to her flat (and until she isn't busy with the Order). She also stayed at Lupin Cottage (where she was supposed to be tonight). One the nights when she couldn't be found at either place, Nova was at the Burrow. Sometimes, Nova even went back to Grimmauld Place. That was mainly to visit her house-elves. 

Dora (AKA Tonks) and Remus have grown to care for each other. It's not in a romantic sense, but their feelings for each other were growing. 

Teddy is the most adorable baby Nova has ever seen. He, as Nova had predicted, is a metamorphagus like his mother. While Tonks tends to sport bubblegum pink, Teddy likes turquoise. 

Teddy finds Nova to be one of the best people on the planet. 

"On a scale of one to ten, how angry do you think Moony is going to be when he walks into his house only to find Nova isn't home?" James asked. 

"A solid twenty-five," Sirius answered. "Fifty once he realizes she's at a party."

Sure enough, Remus was livid when he tracked his daughter to a warehouse with a bunch of drunk hormonal muggles blasting music and partying. 

Nova danced happily, allowing all her worries to melt away for the night. She allowed herself to forget her worries for Blaise, Theo, Dray, and Timmy. She allowed herself to forget her worries for her Pa as he worked with the werewolves. She allowed herself to forget she is a massive target that is being attacked by Death Eaters. She allowed herself to forget she is an innocent lamb at a party surrounded by a bunch of hungry wolves.
