38]Suspicion?

Light is called by the Japanese Task Force to come assist them on the Kira case much to Light's surprise yet also his delight.
Hmmmmm that's what happens today right? I wonder if I could witness this scene somehow, I sighed.
I heard my cellphone ringing in the distance . Mr yagami's calling?
I Wonder what it's about. I picked up. Chatter from the other end immediately entered my ears.
"Call her Mr yagami"
"I did Ryuzaki!" " she's on the line right now"
"What!?"
He snatched the phone.
Silence.
"Hello?" I spoke now.
"Y/n..?" L's voice sounded almost flustered.
I heard from the other end.
"Oh come on Ryuzaki!"
Sounded like Light.
"Give it to me!"
Snatching noises.
"Hello ,Y/n? Didn't disturb you right dear just-
"HEY GIVE IT BACK I WAS TALKING TO HER!"

"Y/n... come to the task force office please" he whispered cutely.
"Hey Ryuzaki Lemme-" yelled Light.
"Ok" I managed to say and cut the phone. God that was so chaotic.
Light's already there? I rushed to the task force office .
I opened the door slowly. All heads in the room turned to me. All of them smiled.
But each smile was different in ways I couldn't begin to describe.
" Y/n you're here actually we-" light began but was completely cut off and ignored by L who was acting... weird?
L's eyes didn't meet Y/n. His gaze remained on the floor. His hands in one another and his cheeks ,pink.
He whispered slowly.
"Y/n.. I-I've been... meaning to a-ask you..."
He closed his eyes blushing harder.
"Do you... like strawberries?"

Light fumed. " Ryuzaki what are you-"
"Yeah" I muttered.
"I love them" My voice was clear before I plopped myself on the couch beside Light and the others beginning to talk to them.
L just sat in place,his hair covering his eyes . A small smile crept up his lips.
And he placed a hand on his chest.
"Calm down my heart, I can't focus" he whispered, inaudible to others.
"Ok so-" I started.
"Why have you called us here?"
I questioned. I saw L come back to his senses and Mr yagami shift in his place.
Mogi began talking.
"Y/n,before you arrived we already asked Light this. We want to know your views on yesterday's events"
I nodded ,indicating that I'd understood.
Mr yagami clicked the remote and started playing the tapes that were being played yesterday.
All eyes were on me. Analysing every movement. The tape stopped and I sighed.
"You guys might think what I'm about to say is odd" I began.
"But I think,this is a second Kira"

Everyone's jaw dropped.
"Thats.."
"That's exactly what L and Light said too!" Matsuda exclaimed.
Light stared at me intently while L focused. His mouth agape and his eyes stuck.
"I'm impressed " he muttered.
I smiled.
"I mean that's what anyone would think ,right?"
I looked at Light now.
"What do you think the original Kira must be thinking,Light" I asked.
I knew what I was doing.
"What" he replied slightly parting his lips.
I turned to look at the others while I spoke now.
"He must be angry. Seeing the video as inferior to his true goals"
Light's eyes actually widened now.
How does Y/n know what he was thinking?! His face became a bit baffled and different thoughts and emotions played in his head.
"Tsk.How childish" I completed before staring at Light a last time.
"I'll be back.."he said getting up and exiting the room. I internally smirked.
Pfft. Intimidating him is fun.
He returned a minute later.
"So Light, Y/n what do you suggest we do?" Asked L.
"Let's trick the second Kira into getting into a conversation with the real Kira by making a reply video" I chirped.
From behind my shoulder I heard Ryuk cackling.
Light flinched again.
Is she reading my mind?! He thought.
His head was now filled with thoughts.
L ,in a similar situation stared at Y/n silently. Was she reading his mind?
He thought. It was impressive.
Maybe...maybe they came to the same conclusion because they think similarly and are made for eachother.
Hold on...what?! How come L the greatest detective was thinking about things like this. He'd never felt this..this thing before and he wasn't being able to deduce this feeling.
"Light,light!" Soichiro yelled at his son,shaking him again with his hand.
"Huh" Light looked back at us finally.
"Stop zoning out son" Mr Mr yagami sighed.
"Oh,sorry Dad" Light muttered.
"What were you even thinking about"
I asked nonchalantly.

Whatever Light said just now wasn't audible.
"Oh nothing" he mumbled before looking down at the tapes again.
"Light" L spoke sharply.
We all turned our attention to L.
"The plan Y/n gave,let's do it. I want you to write the script for the fake reply Light" he spoke in his monotonous voice.
Light quirked a brow.
"Me?" He questioned.
"Yes. Write it from Kira's perspective "
"As if you,Light,were Kira"
Light internally flinched.
"Ofcoarse " he retorted before taking a pen and paper and going to the desk.
L spoke again but this time not to Light.
"And Y/n I want to ask you something as well " L had turned around now ,facing me.
"I suspect a third person's involvement. "
