I feel anxiety and anger boil inside me. It's too much. This kid is too much. Maybe Stephen was right. Bringing Nova was too large of a risk. She did just destroy an entire city because of a nightmare. I won't lie, it seemed like a terrible nightmare for a kid her age to experience. It's the type of nightmare which causes me to wake up with a panic attack. I walk out the room and into the hallway as Steve follows me. "Tony!" He calls. Ugh. I turn around. "What do you need, Capsicle?" I say irritated.

"We need to talk. What are we going to do with her?" That's the very question I want to answer. "We'll talk to Strange. He's bound to have some way to contain her power."

"And if he doesn't?" Steve raises an eyebrow. Shit. "You can't expect for me to have all the answers, alright Cap?"
I spit his nickname out like it's a swear. Cap's about to continue arguing, when a portal opens. Earths favorite wizard pops out. "Where is Nova? She wasn't supposed to leave in her condition," Strange says. "What condition?" Cap and I ask at the same time. "Stage three hypothermia. I told her to freeze something but that's currently beyond her body's capabilities." Hypothermia? Why didn't she tell me this?
'Maybe she was busy dreaming up dead bodies, an abuser, and destroying a city in the process.'
I wave that thought away. She's just a kid. Maybe she told Peter? No. Peter would have told me if something was wrong. He's a good kid like that. "We need to talk, Stark," Strange tells me.

He leads me out of the door and into another hallway. "What's up, doc?" I say to him. I really don't like this guy and his cold shoulder attitude. "She's going to need a lot of rest-" he starts before I cut him off. "She destroyed a part of a city," I blurt out. He cocks his head to the side. "Had a nightmare, got outta control. She has more then just water powers. She's got the whole elemental set." He mulls that over in his head. "While she was sleeping?" He asks. I nod as I watch fear show up in his once cold eyes. "Stark, I don't know if it's such a good idea to keep her in this universe."
"I know," I say. I hate to agree with him, but he's right. She's a threat to everyone. "But she's just a kid. You saw how she was treated before; we can't send her back." Earths favorite wizard thinks for a moment as his eyes soften. Then they go back to cold. "She's a threat to this universe, Stark. I'll try to see if I have something to contain or drain her powers, but if it doesn't work..." I nod. It's better then having the kid sent back when there might be something here to help her.

Cautious footsteps are heard from my right side. "Tony," Bruce says. "What you need green bean," I respond. God, I love making nicknames. "I think we could do the cochlear implant now. What do you say?" I didn't think we would want to do it so early, but I don't see why not. "Sure, sure. Do what you need to," I say. I already gave him the advanced creation I have made, and I hope it'll work well on Nova.

Strange opens a portal and walks through, only to come back out a few minutes later. "We don't know how she'll react when she's under, so let her wear this," he hands me a necklace similar to the one he's wearing, only this one has a white glow instead of green. I nod again as he walks onto the portal to exit.

"Mr. Stark, what's happening to Nova?" Peter asks me with his eyes wide open. "You're letting her stay, right? She really isn't a threat, we just have to be more careful. I'm sure that after a few more lessons she'll be ok, right?" I don't know what to do. He's expecting me to let her stay, even though there's only a slim chance of that even happening. I take him by the shoulder and sit him down on a chair in the living room. "Pete, we're going to try as many things as we can to contain her power. But if we run out of options or she hurts someone like that again... sorry Pete." I don't think I said the right words. Peter's eyes are watering now, and his hands are trembling. "Don't take away my sister, Mr. Stark. Please don't let them." That breaks my heart as he sobs into my chest. The poor kid cares about her so much. Even views her as his sister. "I'll try, okay kid?" He nods as I stroke the sobbing teenagers back.

"I'm going to take care of her, Mr. Stark. I'm going to help her," he says between sobs. "Shhh, shhh. It's ok. She's getting her cochlear implants today. She'll be able to communicate better. Won't that be nice?" I say to him. Maybe this will make him happy. That his sister will be able to hear his voice. He pulls away from me and wipes away the last of his tears. "That- that's good. I can't wait to see her."

"We'll all help her," Nat says from behind us. "We all will," Steve adds.

Gosh, I love this.
