Kaitlyn's POV

"Please help me welcome my sister, Kaitlyn Swift!" Taylor said.

I step onto the stage as the opening notes to Just Give Me A Reason by P!nk and Nate Ruess starts playing and I start singing.

Right from the start you were a thief you stole my heart, and I your willing victim.

I took a deep breath as I sang.

I let you see the parts of me that weren't all that pretty and with every touch you fixed them.

I closed my eyes and tried my best not to think of Austin.

Now you've been talking in your sleep, oh oh, things you never say to me, oh oh, tell me that you've had enough of our love, our love.

My thoughts turned to Austin as the chorus came around.

Just give me a reason, just a little bit's enough, just a second we're not broken, just bent, and we can learn to love again. It's in the stars, it's been written in the scars on our hearts that we're not broken just bent and we can learn to love again.

I turned to Taylor expecting her to continue the song but she is nowhere to be found. I turn the other way with a confused look to see Austin standing there with a microphone.

I'm sorry I don't understand where all of this is coming from, I thought that we were fine

Yeah we had everything

I stood there with a blank expression. Staring at Austin who gave me an apologetic look as he continued singing.

Your head is running wild again, my dear we still have everything and it's all in your mind

Yeah, but this is happening

I tried to wrap my head around what was going on but I couldn't move.

Now you've been having real bad dreams, oh oh, you used to lie so close to me, oh oh

There's nothing more than empty sheets between our love, our love, oh our love, our love, love

We sang together for the first time in a long time as our feet brought us closer together until we were standing just inches apart.

Just give me a reason just a little bit's enough, just a second we're not broken, just bent, and we can learn to love again. I never stopped, it's still written in the scars on my heart that you're not broken just bent till we can learn to love again

Oh tear ducts and rust

Tears ran down my face as I sang with emotion.

I'll fix it for us

Austin grabbed my hand, looking into my eyes.

We're collecting dust but our love's enough

You're holding it in

You're pouring a drink

No nothing is as bad as it seems

He shook his head at me and gave me an apologetic look.

We'll come clean

Just give me a reason, just a little bit's enough, just a second we're not broken, just bent, and we can learn to love again. It's in the stars, it's been written in the scars on our hearts that we're not broken just bent and we can learn to love again
