Diana fiddled with her keychain, last night's conversation replaying in her mind.
A grin spread on her face, making her brother look at her weirdly.
"What are you doing?"
"Hmm?" She looked up from her phone. "What?"
"You look like an idiot. Smiling at nothing."
She rolled her eyes before walking out. "Leave me alone."
His eyes trailed after her. "Something happened," he muttered.
Shreya came and stood next to him, surprising him. "Oh, hey ma."
"Something's weird, right?"
He nodded.
"She's been talking to someone for a long time......" she said, her tone stiff.
The boy looked at his mother, before clicking his tongue.
"No, ma. Nothing is gonna happen," he said firmly. "And you're not gonna do anything."
She glanced at him sharply, before going away. He rushed to his sister's room and burst in.
"You'd better start being careful of when and where you talk to them. Ma is getting suspicious and I don't want anything happening again," he said.
She stared at him surprised. Then she nodded, grimly. "Thanks, Raj."
