Samuel sighed. "I never knew meeting someone could be so nerve-wracking."
"You'll do great, Sam. Have confidence."
"Easy for you to say. You are the most confident person I know, Ria."
Ria chuckled. "It's a gift. Now go and get 'em, tiger!"
"Alright, alright. Bye."
Samuel could already feel sweat forming on his palms. Despite it being winter, he still felt........heated.
His phone rang, startling him.
"Hello?"
"Um. Hi."
Samuel chuckled at how her voice went squeaky.
"Hi. Where are you?"
"I was gonna ask you that."
"I am currently entering Sears."
"Great. I'll meet you in front of Gap? I'm still stuffing my face with a scone at Anderson's Bakery. I'll meet you in ten."
"Did you just ditch the bakery I work at for the Anderson's Bakery?"
"I've never tasted your scones. Most say Anderson's has the best ones. So....."
"I'm offended."
He heard her laugh at his statement. "I'll see you soon, Sammy boy!"
He opened his mouth to protest against the nickname but he heard a familiar beep indicating the call had been ended.
Samuel couldn't help but bury his face into his hands.
"Her laugh is seriously too cute...."
