A week had passed since the full moon. Sirius still had a slight limp but was recovering quickly. Remus, on the other hand, was still beating himself up about it even after Sirius told him it was fine on multiple occasions.

School work had been rapidly increasing as winter started melting away and I was curled up in an armchair in the library trying my best to study. Sirius had been by twenty minutes ago and I was just settling into my reading again.

"Maude!" So much for focus. I looked up from my book to see Marlene and Lily walking toward me.

"Sleepover in Lily's dorm tonight, you in?" Marlene asked.

"Oh please come! I miss staying with you guys all the time," Lily pleaded.

"I wish!" I sighed. "I'm sorry. I have quidditch practice and a Transfigurations essay, I might be able to make it after, but don't wait up."

"Marlene I don't know what I would do without you," Lily laughed. "Having my boyfriend and one of my best friends on the quidditch team makes plans hard."

    "I'm sorry!" I grinned.

"You better be," Marlene pretended to be intimidating.

I said goodbye to the two of them, and giving up hope of studying, I headed toward the quidditch pitch. It was unseasonably warm for early February, but I wasn't complaining as I walked across the grounds. I was greeted at the pitch by a grumpy James who informed me that half the team had come down with a cold.

Because of the lack of players, the practice was easy and we ended half an hour early. I was changed, showered, and headed back to the castle before practice was even scheduled to end. I took the extra time to start my essay for McGonagall.

I was only twenty minutes in when there was a knock at my door.

"Come in!" I expected Marlene, but instead, Sirius limped in.

"You're not who I expected," I said as a way of greeting.

"Surprise," He flourished his hands and plopped down on my bed.

    "What's up?"

"Can we do something?" He was grinning that gorgeous Sirius Black grin.

"I have to finish this," I said opening my book back up and trying to ignore the familiar effect his smile had on me.

"That's not due until Monday! You have all weekend! Come on it's Friday night, let's do something" Sirius insisted.

"If I finish it now, I'll have all weekend to do stuff," I protested.

"Ok but Sundays are for homework, Friday nights are go having fun," After this comment elicited no response from me, he continued. "Can I at least hang out here for a while? Prongs is being annoying."

"Sure" I answered laughing slightly before returning my focus to my essay. Sirius was surprisingly quiet, and it was nice to have a calm moment. It only lasted for about ten minutes before he started to talk again, but I couldn't help but love his constant energy.

    "Maude?"

    "Yeah, Sirius?"

"I'm bored." I looked up from my book to see him grinning at me. Again. I couldn't help but return the smile. I leaned over and pressed my lips softly against his.

    "Better?" I asked.

"Not at all, I think you'll have to try that again," He was smirking at me, and before I knew it he was pulling me in for another kiss. His hands held the back of my neck and he tasted like butterbeer.

My book was knocked off the bed as I moved closer to him. I was too distracted to care. In just moments he had pulled me against him and deepened the kiss. His arms wrapped around me and settled on the small of my back. I felt him smile against my mouth as he pushed me back onto the bed and continued to kiss me.

    "Sirius."

"Mmm?" He was kissing my neck.

   "My essay," I protested half-heartedly.

   "Hmm," He wasn't bothered.

His hands traveled to the front of my hips and brushed the bare skin near the waist of my pants. I felt goosebumps across my back, and thoughts of my essay disappeared. I felt him move to pull off my shirt but, he paused, pulling away from me.

    "Is this okay?" He murmured.

    "Yes," I said breathlessly.

"We don't have to," he whispered.

   "I want to," I said.

"You can go back to your essay," He offered.

"Oh stop," I gave him a gentle shove and as he laughed, his breath tickled my neck.

"I'm not kidding," he said, but his smile said otherwise.

I pushed his shirt off his back and pulled him back down to kiss me as our laughter subsided. The kiss was deep but gentle, and his hands left my skin burning wherever they touched.

I blinked my eyes at the morning light streaming through the windows and looked over to Sirius who was still fast asleep. Our legs were tangled together under the sheets and my head was resting on his arm. I lay there for a moment before he began to stir.

"Morning" he muttered, a sleepy grin spreading across his face. His hair was falling into his eyes, his voice scratchy, and the sunlight made his eyes sparkle. I leaned toward him and kissed him.

"Good morning" I responded, resisting the urge to trace my fingers along his sharp jawline.

He reached up and tucked a stray hair behind my ear and then trailed his hand down my bare back. I rested my head back on his chest, I wanted to hide away at this moment forever.

Unfortunately, it only lasted for about five more minutes.

All of a sudden Marlene burst into the room. Her eyes immediately landed on Sirius and me, who were both obviously not wearing clothes. Her eyes went wide and her mouth dropped open.

"Holy shit! Sorry guys!" She exclaimed, before hastily backing out of the room. "You have five minutes to get clothes on, then I'm coming back in!" She yelled through the door. I groaned.

"Sorry, but I think you're getting kicked out," I said, looking over at him.

"Damn," He said, laughing. He then pushed himself out of bed and quickly pulled his clothes back on. "See you at breakfast?"

"Yeah," I said before giving him one last kiss.

After Sirius left Marlene burst back into the dorm.

"Holy shit!" Marlene grinned. "Not what I expected to walk into this morning. Tell me everything." I felt myself blush bright red and I gave my friend a playful shove.

"Mar, Let's go to breakfast," I suggested halfheartedly trying to evade her looming questions.

"Oh but I want all the details" Marlene poked me in the arm.

    "Later, I'm starving" I laughed.

"Oh come on!" Marlene exclaimed. I rolled my eyes at her and headed towards the door.

"Food first, details later, besides, I'm sure Lils will want to hear too."
