Back to Jo's POV

Spencer had left the room to give you time to get ready. You felt okay, you were happy. Everything had worked out and tonight was going to be fun.

You met everyone downstairs in the lobby. Garcia noticed you first, "JO!!!! You look amazing, oh my god!"

Everyone's head turned around to face you. You were the last one to arrive, they were all waiting for you.

"I can't disagree with Garcia," Morgan said, shooting you a wink. You felt yourself blush lightly as you playfully hit Morgan's arm and rolled your eyes. You walked over to Reid.

"Hey Spence" you smiled as you stood next to him. He didn't respond, but just stared at you. Once again, you felt yourself blush.

Morgan couldn't help but smirked as he watched the two of you in front of him, "You've left the poor boy speechless, Jo"

You let out a little laugh, trying to break the awkward tension.

"Come on, Babygirl," Morgan locked arms with Garcia as we all walked to the taxis that were waiting for us.

You rode with Garcia and Morgan, listening to them flirt the entire way there. If you didn't know them, you'd think they'd work at some weird sex and dirty-talk hotline or something.

You couldn't help but laugh while they flirted. Morgan noticed you trying to hold back your laughter, "Oh, what? You jealous, Diva?"

You gasp dramatically and place a hand on your heart as if it had been stabbed. "I can't believe my prince charming is flirting with another girl right in front of my eyes," you shout sarcastically. Garcia and Morgan erupt in laughter as the taxi comes to a stop in front of the bar. You laugh with them as you exit the car and meet up with the rest of the team.

"What's so funny?" Emily asks.

"Just Morgan being Morgan," you roll my eyes playfully with a grin on your face.

"You know, laughter is actually proven to be not only about humor but relationships with people as well. Robert Provine, a neuroscience professor at the University of Maryland, conducted research on laughter for around ten years and proved that you're more than 30 times likely–"

Reid was interrupted by Rossi, "–Ok kid, thank you for the facts. Now let's head inside before I turn 80." The team laughed at Rossi's remark.

The rest of the team followed Rossi inside, but before you followed them, you turned to Reid and noticed a subtle sadness in his eyes. The team always did this to him, they were used to his genius and couldn't care less about how excited Reid is to share these facts. Although you didn't really care about some facts, you knew it hurt him every time someone stopped him from saying them. They made him feel embarrassed and ashamed of his brain.

You stopped him before heading through the door, "Likely to what?"

He stopped, a look of confusion struck his face, "Hm?"

"You said people are more than 30 times likely to do something but you didn't get to finish. I wanna know what they're more likely to do?" you asked curiously.

You saw his eyes light up and a grin form on his face. You could tell this is the first time someone asked about his random facts and rants, and honestly that made you sad.

"Oh, um, they're more than 30 times likely to laugh when in a social situation" he said shyly, with an appreciative smile on his face.

"That's interesting," you smiled at him before you both walked into the bar and reunited with the team.

"Jo, come with me to get some tequila shots!" Garcia grabbed your wrist and dragged you to the bar before you could protest.

With all this laughter and joy around you, you honestly almost forgot what had happened today, that you almost drowned. You wanted to celebrate today. You wanted to make sure this was a night to remember.

"Ten tequila shots!" Garcia shouted at the bartender with a flirtatious smile on her face

You were shocked at that large number and shouted over the loud music, "Woah ten?!"

"You're right! Make that 15!" Garcia shouted and winked at the bar tender. You just let out a laugh instead of arguing, knowing Garcia isn't one to change her mind about the amount of alcohol she consumes.

Approaching the team with a tray of 15 shots, you asked who wanted one. Hotch, Reid, JJ, and Rossi rejected (Rossi claimed it was too cheap of an alcohol for his taste), so it was up to you and the rest of the team to finish the shots.

You cheers with Emily, Garcia, and Morgan and take four consecutive shots. You know what, this night might actually be one that you don't remember. Before you even finished swallowing your last shot, you felt a hand drag you to the dance floor.

You danced with your favorite girls–Emily, Garcia, and JJ– while you watched the men talk and laugh at the bar. Half an hour passed and you had taken two more shots at this point, but they were vodka not tequila. Morgan was clearly drunk because he joined you on the dance floor and danced with random women, as usual. Your hips moved to the rhythm of the music and now even Rossi was dancing alongside all of you. Hotch didn't dance, but you could see him smile as he watched his team enjoy their night. Reid only ever danced if you forced him to, but for now he was next to Hotch enjoying the view of his friends dancing like idiots.

Morgan approached you on the dance floor, sweat dripping down both of your bodies. His face came close to yours as he drunkenly whispered in your ear, "H-hot guy watching youu dance!"

You were laughing even though you were a little confused on what he was talking about. You furrow your eyebrows together in question, "Hmm??"

You both begin laughing, you don't even know about what. He repeats himself as he continues to dance beside you, "The h-hot guy.... over there," he points to a guy a few meters away who you notice is checking you out, "he's watching you."

You blush a little and roll your eyes with a smirk on your face.

Morgan's body was now against yours as you both moved your hips in sync to the music. He was drunk but so were you.

"Who can blame him, you look hhh-hottt!!" Morgan's drunk words made you blush again. You weren't used to receiving this much validation from a man.

It was probably the alcohol or his compliments or the proximity of your bodies against one another, but in that moment you hungrily pushed your lips onto his, and he didn't resist. You kissed for around ten seconds before you realized what had just done. You tore your lips from his and stared at him before you both burst out laughing. You had no idea why, but you were both laughing. Clearly, both of you were very drunk. It wasn't a bad kiss, but you didn't want to do that again.

You apologized through your laugh, "I'm sorry that was so weird and inappropriate"

He smiled, "Don't worry, Diva. I enjoyed it." He winked at you before he turned around and began dancing with a stranger.

You just realized how inappropriate that was. You just kissed Morgan. Derek Morgan. Your co-worker. Fuck, let's hope Hotch didn't see that. You turn to look at Hotch, and fortunately for you, he was busy talking to a blonde woman at the bar. Next to him, you notice Reid staring at you. He looked angry or sad, you couldn't really tell. Crap, he won't tell Hotch would he? You made eye-contact with him for a few seconds before you sent him a drunken smile. He finally looked away and stormed off to the men's bathroom. What was that all about?

Spencers POV

I looked up and saw them kissing. My best friend and the woman I had fallen in love with in the time I've known her. My heart shattered into a million pieces.
