The bleak night of the southern lands carried a dark mood as a chilly draft wafted across the dark sands, trailing towards the Redlands border's distant ends. Here, there were a series of intersecting routes, one headed more towards the west as the other veered off into a southward direction.

Paying more attention to these dunes, one would notice that the path which led southward had a peculiar kind of sand. It was of a black hue as it blended further with the dark of night, the stars that loomed above unable to leave a sparkle as it seemed as if the land itself was akin to that which could swallow all things.

These lands were the Black Dunes, the second most ancient and similarly dangerous place within Southern Wastelands. With a loud swooshing, a gust of wind blew even more intensely, brushing up clumps of black sand across the dark dunes; they traveled on the wind for an untold distance, arriving at a region that gave off a foul qi.

The sands here emitted a strange force connected with the ghostly yin properties as if one listened closely; they could even hear the sounds and whispering of beings that shouldn't exist in the world.

A shady figure now walked along these dunes, shuffling through the dark sands with his tombed patterned robe, torn and ragged from all angles. His pale white face had a dark look as his eyes shone with an endless murderous intention while carrying a recollective look.

'Crimson Mask... Qiu Yu... I hope you're both not satisfied for long; both you fools and the Weaver's Enclave will pay the price, far sooner than you can imagine.'

Kazak thought as he moved his injured frame through the dark dunes. He continued to emanate a dreadful murderous intent which could be felt by all manner of sinister creatures that loomed in the sands, keeping him safe but only for a little while.

Deep below the dark sands, a strange shark-shaped creature resized, one of a size that couldn't even be imagined as just its glowing red eyes that peered upwards, locking on Kazak's figure was more than enough to surround the dozen meter range.

A loud shuffling sounded before the ground around Kazak began to tremble; when this happened, Kazak halted and narrowed his eyes as he could feel a sudden surge of danger.

"Blast! To think one of these beasts would appear so fast," Kazak cursed to himself, but he didn't dare to let his guard down as he could sense the dangers around him.

With his robes flapping in the wind, along with his black hair, a deadly silence followed as the air grew even tenser. It seemed that danger could appear at any moment, forcing sweat to roll down Kazak's cheek as he adopted a battle-ready stance as his eyes scanned his surroundings carefully.

Bang! In an instant, a loud boom followed the second the droplet of sweat that fell from his forehead landed onto the sands below him; the ground then exploded into a cloud of sand as a strange creature appeared, aiming to end Kazak's life as it opened its mouth wide. Still, as Kazak expected this, he rapidly jumped into the air, leaving behind a remnant shade.

With the piercing cry of the wind, he arrived a few hundred meters in the air in only a few seconds. Kazak then glared down at the silhouette of a giant beast with its maws open wide, soaring from the dust clouds towards him as if trying to eat him alive. Its mouth covered all his field of view as if the earth of a few hundred meters was a part of its body.

"You filthy little creature, don't think that you're in any way my match! Phantom Eye Lock!"

With his shout, Kazak's Phantom Eye's shone in a brilliant skull pattern which fired a ray towards the approaching beast; it crashed into its massive forehead with a brilliant glow forcing the beast to cry out in agony.
