The air was foul and somewhat nauseating. Of course, a Thief would find such a place cozy. It suited him and described the type of warrior he was, disgusting and uncouth. He was truly at home.

There were no proper supports for the crafted tunnel except long mucky lumber pillars positioned very far apart on both sides. The tunnel looked very unstable and very ancient in looks.

Arion heaved the Thief's robe off to reveal his identity. He was young and appeared to be the same age as him but not as tall. He had long curly black hair to his shoulder with flames at the tip and ruffled bronze skin.

He wore an aged blue top and black short pants, which was torn in various parts. His feet were sheltered with a rusty pair of clogged footwear.

The Thief wore a scowl on his face as if he had seen a spectre, most likely for the fact that he, Arion was able to locate him when the Thief probably thought it would be impossible.

"How in the Hyod's name did you find me?"

The Thief dreadfully needed to know so he would not commit the same mistake twice.

"You might be able to make a fool of the market guards and storeowners," replied Arion in a superior tone. "However, when it comes to someone of my stature, I guarantee you it will not be easy at all. I will haul you off to banishment."

The Thief's capture would look great in the eyes of his House. It might even convince his lord that he was ready for greater things. He could see it now, the envy of his fellow mates.

The Thief was not impressed. The warrior whom boasted of his capture was full of himself. Did he believe he would return with him without a very hard and long combat?

"You did not answer my question, oh great warrior," said the Thief in a mocking tone.

Arion smiled and delivered his answer with a reprimanding tone, "You," and he pointed to the Thief, "Who might think you are a strong and a cunning warrior, lack the training for what you are currently using."

The Thief was puzzled. Here stood a warrior who was judging him like a blind warrior on his skills and abilities without seeing what he could do.

"When you see what I can do," pointed the Thief to Arion, "then you will think twice before belittling me or anyone of my kind," said the Thief with ferocity in his voice.

The warrior before him was treating him like the dirt on his foot which he would have no problem in cleansing away but that was not who he was. He was a warrior and would be treated as one.

"I do not need to see you in action, for what I have seen so far does not impress me at all," exclaimed Arion.

"To answer your earlier question on how I found you, well it was easy. As I have been saying all along, you," and he pointed at the Thief, "Attempt movements far beyond your abilities without proper training and guidance and that is how I found you."

"Your dematerializing was done poorly. It left behind hidden traces to the eyes but nevertheless an invisible trail to you and this decrypted home of yours."

The Thief clenched his fist. What if the warrior belittling him had sent for a battalion of warriors before venturing after him? There would be no opportunity for him and his friends to escape.

He had to get rid of the warrior and quickly, but how? The answer struck him like a blunt object to the head. It was horrible in all its glory but it was sadly the only solution.
