Chapter 51: Training Day

Training began early in the morning. For Shark this was too early. School did not even begin this early yet this would be an everyday thing now and he wanted to cry. Maybe he could get Lord Valliantious to write him a note to excuse him from early training, but that was laughable.

The two were like kids in a winter wonderland with every step they took. Every thing from the interior to the exterior of the Houses, the trees, the lava rivers, the high altitude of the Hall was eye catching and mesmerizing.

They wanted to stop and look around but Arion kept yelling at them to move. He would do the same if he was on Earth but they did not want to upset him with their reasoning for stopping.

Shark wished he had his phone to take picture of everything. At least he would have live memories when he returned home, but how long would that take. He shook his head and moved away from that sad topic.

Shark arrived in front of the House of Water, which had a small blue lake surrounded by colourful shrubs.

He followed the lead of the other warriors who were dressed like him while doing his best not to draw any attention to himself, even though he was the new Apprentice in town.

After training was over or even during it, he's sure he would be asked numerous questions, like where he was from.

Even though they had rehearsed what the answers to numerous potential questions were this was the first day of school all over again. He thought his last first day would be in university, never had he imagined this would be a first day of his.

His thoughts were disrupted by the smashing sound of the lake water. The other Apprentices did not find it odd. The water was being disturbed and starting to form a cyclone.

A giant armoured man lunged from under the lake, displaying his shimmering sapphire jade armour, fluttering cyclone, tidal wave covered cape and seaweed chain.

Shark was astonished at what he was seeing. This had to be Lord Ponthious. He recalled Chi-taki's description of him.

Something clicked in Shark's head. Chi-taki knew they were destined to be here. Lord Valliantious no doubt gave him the job of describing Apprentice Hall and the Hyods to them without explaining the true reason as to why he was going into such in depth details.

Shark watched Lord Ponthious swim to the shore on his giant white hammerhead shark which had three small pairs of white translucent wings on its back.

So this was the great Beastial he was so call named after and everyone he encountered so far found it prudent to remind him of it.

When he got to the shore, the Hyod of Water, leapt onto the ground and his hammerhead shark soared into the air while shards of water fell off of its scales. It dove back into the water and was soon out of sight.

Ponthious immediately gave specific instructions to his warriors without any introduction.

"You can all accomplish amazing things. What I am about to send your way will prove that. Now brace yourselves and prepare to levitate what I am about to send," instructed Ponthious.

Shark forgot it was not the first day of school. He was joining the semester a little late.

Ponthious literally placed out his giant extending left arm, grasping and pulling the water from the lake like it was solid and not the quencher of thirst and liquid. He then commenced throwing the pool at them.

"Now, embrace it at once," shouted Ponthious.

Shark's reflexes attempted to convince him to dive for cover. He was not prepared for such intensity. The water from the lake was nearing him and it would soon crush them all, but looking around, he saw his fellow Water Warriors not budging an inch.
