It spewed silver threads of ice at them but they flipped out of the way and it thumped the forest floor, freezing the grass instantaneously.

The black scorpion was enormous with its bullhorns and its elongated arms affixed with scissor like claws. It was in pursuit of them ever since they entered the foggy forest.

"There is no way I plan on meeting my end to the likes of a bug," grunted a courageous Shark while he attempted to find the current position of the giant scorpion.

"I don't know what you're seeing," replied a whispering and out of breath Troy. "But that is no ordinary sized bug. It's freakishly huge."

The scorpion came back around, flapping its ice-covered batwings.

It had spotted them with the aid of its detector bullhorns and clouted the tall tree from which they hid behind, automatically freezing the tree, transforming it into a giant icicle.

"Get out of the way!" shouted Troy, "Now!"

The two made haste to another nearby tree, which shielded them with its multicoloured branches while the scorpion clouted all in its way, striking them down with its lengthy exoskeleton tail, ensuring they crumbled like detonating skyscrapers.

"We have to run. There is no way this tree can help us. We'll just put it in danger," said Shark.

He recalled what the other trees did for them earlier as he caressed the cut on his cheek.

They journeyed deeper into the forest and unfortunately it was a grave mistake. They ran directly into a giant web which only became visible when they embraced it.

"What now?" said a miserable Troy.

"What is this?" said the struggling Shark.

"A web made out of vines?" replied a wiggling Troy.

A monstrous Awrakk, half black spider from the waist down and half pale Humantian from the waist up was sleeping at the top of the web. It awoke and looked hungry. It licked its lips and twiddled its legs.

"What is that thing?" screamed a frightened Shark.

"I fear it might be the creature which will be responsible for our end," replied a terrified Troy.

He needed to summon the winds, but fear he felt was preventing him from doing so. It was hard to be brave when a poisonous monster, larger than life was nearing them.

"We have to do something. We just have too," said a shivering Shark.

He turned his head to Troy. It was the only appendage which was not affixed to the web.

There was no way out of this peril. Even if he could perform the river of water. He could not control it. His entire body was pinned including his hands.

"Food! Food!" hissed the drooling Awrakk in the language of Rukk.

Question:

1) How are Shark and Troy going to get out of this one?
