"I am here!" I glanced up tiredly at the massive man standing at the front of the class. Class had started at least ten minutes ago. Did he really feel the need to say that stupid catchphrase every five seconds? "Hope you're ready to return to our lessons. Today it's Hero Basic Training. Feels like I haven't seen you in a while. Welcome back! Now then, listen carefully for what's in store. We're going to be conducting a little race. Take everything you've learned from your internships and apply it to this rescue training."

Iida immediately shot his hand into the air, causing a slight smile to drift onto my lips. The entire walk here, I had noticed him standing relatively close to me as he sent occasional glances at Mineta, clearly trying to shield me from the miniature pervert without making me uncomfortable. And yet, when we'd arrived and he saw that I would be remaining towards the back of the group, he couldn't help himself from moving forward and into the very front, though he continuously sent hesitant looks back at me as if checking up on me. And the funniest part of all of this? Everything he was doing was exactly the same as before, when he'd hated my guts. Except now, of course, he was doing so entirely out of concern. It's incredible how different it felt from earlier, despite the only thing having been changed being his facial expressions.

I jumped slightly when I felt someone grab my arm, already dragging me off. I grinned gratefully up at Bakugou as I allowed him to continued dragging me towards the observation area. I must have zoned out again. Of course, I didn't really care about whatever All Might was saying. I already knew what this training was anyways. I also knew exactly what I was going to do about it.

Perhaps I should take this opportunity to explain a few things. You see, I'm afraid some of you may have gotten the wrong idea about me. I absolutely did not want anyone in this world to realize that I knew everything that was going to happen. I also didn't want to affect any of the major events of the show, for fear of losing what was probably my biggest advantage in this world and my last line of defense, should I be forced to go against these people. But all of that only applied to large-scale events that would have a serious impact on the story line. And at this point? I couldn't force myself to care about these people's character developments if I tried. I think it was about time I show off a little bit.

I leaned up against Bakugou lazily as we got ready to watch the other races, completely ignoring my classmates' chattering. They were all just talking about how they were certain Midoriya was gonna lose. Of course, they had no idea that he'd vastly improved since the last time they saw him. I wonder if I should make a few bets on what was going to happen. Earn myself some money for when I inevitably have to run from these people.

When the training finally started, I felt Bakugou tense against me, his teeth gritting together as he watched Midoriya propelling himself forward on the screen, and frowned slightly. "Hey, dumbass," I muttered softly under my breath. Even though he didn't respond, there was no doubt in my mind that he heard me talking. So, I just continued on as though it were just a normal conversation. "You didn't really think he'd stay useless forever, did you? Of course he's gonna learn at some point. It's not like it's anything to freak out over. You're still way ahead of him when it comes to skill." I could vaguely hear him click his tongue in faux annoyance, smirking slightly when I felt him relax a bit. I paused for half a second, debating with myself on whether or not it was a good idea to continue talking. In the end, though, I couldn't seem to help myself. "Besides, Sero's gonna win anyways," I shrugged a bit. Again, the angry boy relaxed himself at my words before the two of us fell back into a comfortable silence.

About four minutes later, Sero was crowned the victor, and Bakugou turned to me with a curious gaze. "How did you-"

"This field is best suited for someone who can take advantage of the high ground. Of that group, only two people could do so -- Sero and Midoriya. The only thing is, up until about a week ago, Midoriya was still breaking his bones every time he tried to activate his quirk. It only made sense that he wouldn't have enough experience to be able to deal with a setting that consists almost entirely of unstable footing," I explained calmly, barely even sparing him a glance. That was one good thing that came out of all of this, I supposed. In the time since I'd been here, I had become an incredible liar. I was practically at the point where I didn't even need to think before my mouth starting spewing random facts one after another, weaving them together until I seemed to be innocent, despite not ever giving all of the information.
