Hayley's POV
Did I hear it wrong? No I don't think so
Whatever he said I didn't give a damn about that, the way his expressions changed scared me
I immediately stepped back to give both of us space and I think it affected him because his expressions turned normal once again
He took a step towards me and I let him, then another and then another until I could feel his breath on my forehead, I looked up and his eyes met mine.
His eyes were filled with terror something that I never imagined him to feel
In a second he cupped my face in his hands and leaned his forehead against mine. I closed my eyes not doing anything but I could still feel the message he was trying to convey through his actions
"I didn't mean to" I snapped my eyes open because he just said what I was thinking and this has happened to me twice in one day.
He didn't say anything after that instead he disappeared.
I felt cold and so I made my way towards my mom but stopped short in my tracks, "Kai" I whispered to myself at the sight of him with my mom
What is it with him being mysterious yet open? I decided to let it pass just this once because I couldn't think of a logical explanation, not now at least. I sent Christian a text and made my way to them.
Christian's POV
This was the first time I claimed a woman as mine but I couldn't control it.
It felt like the guy wasn't me he was a darker version of me who really is obsessed with her, as soon as we switch sides and I regain my senses all my feelings completely change and my feelings change into somewhat pure.
I-i don't know what is happening but I can't stay away from her, I think I am in love with her and I shouldn't distance us not like that since it'll only make things worse
I shifted my mind not wanting to think about that situation and thankfully Hayley's text made me do that. "Are u okay?" was all she wrote but I could hear her saying this inside my brain.
I decided to talk to her and so I made my way to search for her.
The event was almost over and everyone had left, finally.
"Christian we have a problem."
Caleb ran to me and as much as I wanted to run away from this I knew I shouldn't because Caleb also is my secretary kinda guy in the office office, so it could be anything.
"What Caleb?"
"Are you okay?" hearing this from him made me stand still and I felt my heart beating faster
"Christian?"
"Huh?"
"I said we have a problem in the office but I am taking care of it I just had to update you about it"
"oh okay" was all I said as I turned around again
"are you going to meet Hayley?"
"Yeah I am"
"okay when are you guys getting married by the way? "He asked jokingly
I stopped, exhaled and turned around
"I'm joking, sorry- go ahead" he turned around and left.
I ran my hand through my hair in frustration because now I had to take care of this as well

"Christian?" her soft voice made me drops all my worries but for a second I felt it wasn't her voice, I turned around.
"Katherine?"
"Hi"
"what are you doing here?"
"I'm good thanks for asking-"
"cut it off Katherine, speak."
"Rude Chris" she placed a hand on my shoulder as she took a step closer.
I am irritated just at the thought of my brain confusing her as my fiancée
"So Hayley is a writer"
"what do you want Katherine?"
"For starters, an apology"
"A what? You think you deserve one?"
Katherine's face expressions immediately shifted and she became more serious
"let's see, you know I can still make a scene regarding our past at your little fiancées cute celebration and then she can probably hate you forever-"
"You can do whatever the fuck you want but I am not giving you the satisfaction you desperately want" I said through gritted teeth, removed her hand and walked away
I stormed away from Katherine and saw Hayley on my way
"Hayley?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay?" I asked as I examined her face worriedly
"Yeah I'm okay I'm just tired"
"Oh okay lets go home then?"
"Uhm"
Caleb interrupted us and said it was an urgent matter so he needed me and so I asked her to wait here and not go anywhere.
Hayley's POV
Christian left with Caleb and asked me to wait here and not go anywhere; well I was too tired to walk in heels pointlessly anyways.
"Hayley?" I turned around
"ah Kai"
"hey I wanted to ask if you'd want to stay for a little while I need to tell you something"
I looked at the time and then at him I guess a few minute wouldn't hurt.
"Sure"
he led the way and apparently it was the parking area.
He took me to his car and he owned this expensive black sports car which I've only seen in ads, I wonder what he does
"so?" he took a step closer which I felt was a little too close so I stepped back but he took one again "umm Kai?" but he wasn't listening his eyes were fixed on me and my back was now by his car and he just continued to lean until our faces were inches apart.
"Kai what are you doing?" I said a little louder this time and distanced my face from him
"Hayley I've been waiting for this since 12 years"
"12 years?"
"Yes the second I saw you I knew you were-"
"BACK OFF" Caleb and Christian came running and I taking an advantage of Kai's distraction moved aside.
"What are you doing?" Caleb held his collar and continued to threaten him
"Are you okay?" Christian looked at Kai then me and I just nodded
"Come" he held my hand and took me to his car
"Christian where are you going?" Caleb shouted
"To the old zone" I glanced at Caleb who looked horrified
