Everything was set but I felt bad for her. I know we included her but doing this to her wasn't fair, as much as I wanted to tell her everything I wanted to keep her safe as well and I think now is finally the time. As I prepared myself for the raid, my mind kept going towards it and I tried my best to not make Hayley suspicious
Lucas's POV
Everything was right set on the plan. George and Christian's men were ready, kai's/ Jonathan's men were also ready. All of us were ready and Hayley. Well about her
The plan is changed slightly but we aren't telling her this right now.
All of us know she has Jonathan's temper even if she denies it and the last thing we want right now is her having a breakdown or shooting one of us, strangely her attitude has been surprising me since the day we decided to keep her in on the raid plan
Christian's POV
As I loaded the last bullet in the gun I took in a deep breath.
Everything was going just the way I wanted it to, I had the most amazing time of my life and finally we were going to put an end to this misery
I called George to keep him updated and ready and shot Jonathan a text to let him know we were ready
Kai's POV
The bullet proof car was all set other than that I had my car because insiders gave me this information that whoever it is, knows Christian very well so I used my car because one, it is unfamiliar and second it is pretty fast which might come handy
Everyone is ready including Hayley with a satisfied expression on her face. Sometimes I look at her and I can see her father's trait in her, same blue eyes and that same annoyed face they make except hers is cuter
Anyways we all were set and finally ready to leave, I gathered around everyone to finally discuss the action plan
Hayley's POV
When I said I was glad to be a part of this plan, I meant every word of it and I know they're planning to make me stay in the car but I am not going to.
The person made ME their target because I am probably what they need, or if not, I am pretty sure I can find them answers
As everyone discussed the plan of how we will go there after sunset when its dark and raid when they're least expecting us to, I kept looking at him because even if I knew about their changes, I didn't expect him to hide it from me even if it was for my safety
As everyone walked towards the door I held his hand back so I could have a word
"You okay there Hayley?"
"Why did you lie to me, Kai?"
"I lied?" he arched an eyebrow in surprise but I could see a glint of fear in his eyes
"You weren't planning on taking me inside, were you?"
By now he knew exactly what I meant and so he turned around to face me directly
Yes I didn't want to take you Hayley and it was my idea."
"But why?" anger was pumping up through my veins by now and I was ready to explode
"Don't you get it Hayley? I don't want you getting hurt"
"Why kai? Why is it always me? Do you guys think I am weak, can I not defend myself?"
"Hayley that is not-"
"Yes that's exactly what you mean kai, you will never think of me as Jonathan's daughter but as a girl who is a writer and cannot defend herself"
"You want to hear the truth Hayley?" by now our faces were really close but neither of us backed down
