Part 5 Chapter 33 Attack on Duros 2

Duros City,

Industrial Sector.

The industrial sector of Duros City was in a state of total chaos. Many buildings were burned and destroyed. Since the military had been withdrawn from the area to be stationed at the harbor, there was not only an attempt to put out the fire by the firefighters, but also looting of all the assets there. The security forces of each company, assisted by police from the Palpadia Empire, were overwhelmed.

As a result of the looting attempts, there were battles in the industrial sector, not against the Myto Empire, but with the looters. But some time later, the Myto Empire troops managed to enter the industrial sector from the city of Duros, together with the retreating soldiers of the Palpadia Empire. This caused chaos in the industrial sector of the city of Duros. There was shooting between three parties, namely first, the looters, second, the security forces and soldiers of the Palpadia Empire and third, the dark troopers of the Myto Empire. Each side was fighting with two other sides.

Even though they had to fight with two parties, the superiority of the Myto Empire's dark troopers could not be matched by the other two parties. Moreover, the dark troopers were not affected by the fire that burned most of the territory. The forces of the Palpaida Empire were quickly pushed towards the center of the city, out of the industrial area of the city of Duros. As for the looters, after seeing their failed attempt to combat the Myto Empire forces, they simply ran away.

It only took 1 hour for the forces of the Myto Empire to take control of the industrial sector of Duros City. After the entire area was controlled, several airspeeders from Myto Empire began to carry fire extinguishing equipment and also carried out water bombardment and fire retardent to extinguish the fire in the industrial sector of Duros.

Duros City Government Center Building

Alarms were sounding around the Duros city government center building. The soldiers protecting the building were busy looking for defensive positions. They were preparing themselves for attacks from both the ground and the air.

Suddenly, 4 airspeeders approached the Duros city government center building. Two combat type airspeeders broke away and immediately strafed the Palpadia Empire soldiers defending the building. Although many of the soldiers took cover, they still fell victim as the bullets from the coil gun of Myto's airspeeder penetrated the objects that served as cover for the soldiers. The airspeeders repeatedly strafed the soldiers. In the end, the two airspeeders simply hovered near the building and fired at the Palpadia Empire soldiers guarding it. Almost half of the 300 soldiers protecting the building were already casualties.

This was also the case with several land dragons guarding the Duros City government center building. The land dragons could not survive the coil gun bullets that were fired at such a high speed that they had enormous kinetic energy, capable of penetrating steel, concrete, or just the land dragon's tough skin. In less than 2 minutes, all the land dragons around the building were killed.

After a few minutes of the two airspeeders firing at the troops guarding the building, the airspeeder carrying the dark trooper approached the building's courtyard. As the airspeeder hovered over the courtyard, the 12 dark troopers it was carrying jumped to the ground. Six dark troopers attacked the Palpadia soldiers near the courtyard, three dark troopers broke into the building, and three more circled the building looking for Palpadia soldiers on the other side of the building.

The six dark troopers tasked with attacking the Palpadia soldiers split off in different directions and began shooting at the Palpadia soldiers in sight. This caused the remaining Palpadia soldiers to be in a bind. On one hand, they were still being bombarded by fire from the 2 airspeeders that were hovering around the building, even at this time when there were 3 airspeeders. On the other hand, they are being hunted by dark troopers who move on the ground.
