"Hey guys," I said sitting next to JJ.
"You want something to drink?" Jordan asked.
"Yeah, I got money," I said.
"Where'd you get it?" Spence asked.
"I cant be in trouble for what my brother gives me," I said with a smirk.
Everyone but Jordan gave me a weird look. We haven't told anyone about Shawn and the police station. Luckily.
"Fair I guess," Spencer dismisses.
I drank dr. Pepper and beat Asher's ass in pool.
"Damn you suck," I told him.
"Shut up Pheonix, " he said with an eye roll.
We played until asher mentioned his parents were out of town.
"That means an asher Adam's party!" Jordan yelled.
"Um-" asher was cut off.
"I got it," JJ said sending out texts.
"It don't look like he wants to throw a party," Spence said.
"Please. Asher lives for these parties," no one gave him a chance to speak.
After that everyone left.
"Want to go one more time?" He asked me.
"I take any chance to beat ya ass," I said with a smirk.
"What did Spencer mean? You know. About the money you get from your brother," asher asked.
"That's a conversation I'm not having in a public place," I said drinking some more of my drink.
"What time is it?" I asked him.
"Four," he said.
"I got be home at five. I'm sorry asher," I said packing everything up.
"I'll drive you," he said.
"That's not the best idea," I said.
"Why?"
"You show up where I live in that car someone's going to kill for it," I laughed.
"I'll be fine," I gave up trying.
"We arent in public," asher pushed.
"Do you actually want to know?" I asked.
"How bad could it be?"
"Both of my brothers are bloods. Brandon died last year, shawn is still in. I live with shawn but I'm not in a gang," I gave him the condensed version.
"Damn. Is it a family tradition?" He asked.
"I live in Crenshaw," I deadpanned,"but it's why shawn wanted me to go to Beverly. Plus I wasnt always the safest. "
"I had no idea how hard you had it here," he said.
"If your not to busy getting ready for the party you can help me babysit," i said.
"Yeah. I guess i should find out more where your from," he said.
I had asher park the car a few buildings down. We walked in to see Shawn and no one else. Thankfully.
"You made a friend," shawn said eying asher.
"That's all he is," I said coldly.
"Whatever. I have to run with tyrone tonight," he said kissing my forehead.
"Tyrone? What the fuck shawn!" I yelled.
"Love ya sis! Make sure maya sleeps!" He yelled and run.
