Is It True?

Summer days spent like someone with a shopping addiction,
Each day passing by and by,
Like a movie cutting to a different scene.
A movie of laughs and smiles,
Playfully dancing across the screen,
But is it true?
Or am I the only one who sees it that way?
These smiles could be fake,
Plastered just to humor me.
These laughs just jokes put upon me,
Knowingly mocking me,
Like a bird above a city.
Or maybe,
These are genuine,
Just not how I see them.
Every moment together is happiness,
Is it true?
Do you feel it too?
Is it just innocence?
Or platonic?
Maybe I want it to be that way,
Ignoring some things,
Exaggerating others.
Is it true?
