To Whom I Pray

17 1 1

Down and out,
Nothing left but soul and heart,
I give everything to you.
I bear my cross and take up your's as well,
We together depend on each other,
A co-dependence unlike any other,
I pray to you.
You bring me happiness,
And flow molten fire through my veins.
Your bring passion to my eyes,
I hold you like rosary beads,
Each bead a new heartbeat.
You are my religion,
I would give every Sunday to you,
And you to me.
You spread light to every inch of the room,
Enveloping me in your embrace,
Holding a promise in your kiss,
Grasping a moment in your eyes.
You bring me high above,
While grounding me to my roots,
You save me from the day,
And protect me from the night.
You are to whom I pray,
Whom I hope,
Hope for a lifetime with you,
An eternity.
Heaven is a place on earth with you,
By you.
A simple word is enough to take my breath away,
A simple look is enough to make my heart beat like wings,
A simple kiss is enough to send me to eternal paradise.
I pray to you,
My prayer is your name.
