Inside the chambers pt.2

(Tori's Pov)

I was happily packing for my study date with Jon. We would leave after midnight and meet in the second floor girls toilet. I specifically picked this place because it's the only place where no one can disturb us. As for the bed check I am borrowing Jon's closet. I asked Tracey to come and get me if in case there is a bed check which rarely happens.

But I'm not going to ease up on it as well, who knows if someone tattles on me. I won't have that, as I was packing Tracey asked, "Whoa that's a little too much don't you think so?"

I turned to look at her and said, "We'll be there for 2 days?"

She scrunched her eyebrows and said, "Exactly 2 days... why are you packing so many outfits and what's that?" She pulled out monopoly out of my bag and held it and asked, "You guys are going to study... what's this?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Just in case we get bored you know?"

Daphne snarked and said, "Let her be... this is her chance to blow it up in her face and scare him for good."

I folded my arms and said, "It's funny I didn't ask for your opinion."

Tracey came in between us and said, "Guys come on... we have talked about it..." She turned to Daphne and said, "What did I say about snarky comments?"

She sighed and said, "Fine... I'm sorry."

She looked at us and said, "I have been thinking... do you think that, it's a good idea to do this? I mean you two are fighting now, what will happen to us after this?"

Daphne and I looked at each other and I said, "Can we talk after I come back?"

Tracey sighed and nodded and I smiled and said, "Good night Witches." I looked at the time and it was after midnight, I dawned my invisibility cloak and got out of the room.

Tracey sighed and laid down on her bed and Daphne asked, "Is something bothering you?"

Tracey looked at Daphne with a worry look and said, "Do you remember that time when you guys asked Ted to look out for Jon?"

(In the Girls toilet)

I reached the toilet and I waited for Jon to come and then I felt someone tap on my shoulder I quickly turned around and suddenly I felt a hand on my mouth and shushing me. "It's me." It was Jon's voice. The invisibility spell slowly disappeared and showed himself. He smiled and I felt a little burst of anger and kicked him in the shin.

He yelped and I shushed him, he looked at me and in a muffled voice asked, "Why did you kick me?"

I scrunched my eyebrows and asked, "Why did you scare me?"

He took a few deep breath and said, "I'm fine, I'm fine..."

He looked at me and asked, "You ready... to delve deeper into Hogwarts?"

I rolled my eyes and said, "Stop being such a... ah, what's the word?"

He smiled and said, "It's called showman ship, darling."

A warm feeling infiltrated my heart and I chuckled and said, "No I meant, nerd."

He scoffed and said, "You are so wrong, but let's just go." he tuned and walked to the washing basin and I walked up to it and he said, "This is it."

I looked at him and he said, "Say anything in Parseltongue." I nodded and then a cold voice came out of my mouth that filled the room with a feeling of danger.

Then suddenly the top of the basin went up and the basin itself spilt apart showing a tunnel or a manhole to be more precise. He smiled and gestured, "Ladies first."

I scoffed and said, "Really?" I looked at the hole and I asked, "Can't we go together?"

He smiled and winked at me, "Now where's the fun in that." He suddenly pushed me into the hole, "JON!" He laughed and then dove head first into the hole.

I closed my eyes and feared for the worst when I felt a hand wrap around my waist and I opened my eyes and it was Jon and he pointed his wand to the bottom and said, "Arresto Momentum!" And then we stopped falling and He put me down and I looked at him and asked, "What the hell?"

He put his hands up and said, "Okay, I'm sorry... not a good joke."

I looked at him and said, "Joke? I could've died."

He looked at me and said, "Ah, not possible, try and jump."

I looked at him and he jumped and he bounced, "I made the floor bouncy..."

I scoffed and walked away and he followed me, he apologised again and I told him to drop it and he did. We reached a giant door with snakes on it and he looked at me and said, "Just keep your eyes closed okay?"

I nodded and closed my eyes and he opened the door this time and he took my hand and we walked inside and even though I could feel how big it was. Then Jon cleared his throat and said in parseltoungue, "Yuri, I'm here close your eyes."

Suddenly I felt a little tremble coming from the ground and it was getting bigger and faster as the moments passed and then suddenly it was here I could feel the breath of the monster and Jon said, "Yuri... this is my friend... another Parselmouth. Victoria Potter."

Jon tugged my arm a little and said, "Open your eyes." I shook my head and he chuckled and said, "Come on... trust me a little. I assure you. Nothing will happen to you." I reluctantly opened my eyes and I saw the giant snake lying in front of me and its eyes were closed. Jon touched the mouth of the basilisk and asked, "She's is beautiful... isn't she."

I chuckled and I touched the basilisk and it said, "It's nice to finally meet you."

I tilted my head and she said, "Jon here talks a lot about you all... especially you." I looked at him and he said, "Don't believe Yuri here... time has not been kind to her."

She chuckled and I smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you too Yuri." I looked around and the whole design and structure was marvelous. Monuments carved out of granite and stone. The snakes looked proud and beautiful.

Jon looked at me and said, "Let's get to the library." He let go of my hand and got on top of Yuri. I tired to climb on my own but I couldn't. He gave me his arm and I grabbed it and climbed on the back of Yuri and grabbed on Jon's waist. Yuri slithered away.

We stopped in front of a giant circular door with snakes and Jon got off and I jumped and he grabbed me. Jon looked at me and said, "Go on, open it."

I nodded and said open in Parseltongue and the door opened and I saw a giant room filled with books, the library was nothing compared to this. There were books filled to the brim. Jon and I walked inside and he said, "I made some adjustment to the place but it's pretty freaking amazing... trust me."

He walked to the right side of the room and I saw a large table with chairs and a fireplace, he took his wand out and said, "Incendio." He lit the fire place and he turned to me and said, "So this is where we could study... opposite to this like a little area with some beds just in case. And next to it is a new bathroom that I made."

I looked around and said, "Wow... there are so many books, here..."

He sighed and said, "Yeah... there is too much stuff here. So here is what we do." He pulled out some books from his pouch and said, "These are the books with the theory of what I'm trying to do. You learn this first and in the mean time. I look for new books and methods."

I nodded and said, "Okay..." I tied my hair up and said, "Let's get to it." For some odd reason he stared at me for a little while before we walked away.
