Oh and 16/17 year olds can still have braces. Maybe they couldn't get them at 13 and they need to get them teeth fixed.

I understand not doing it but teenagers have these things.^

Oi pimples, acne, etc. they get that too and no don't focus on it but maybe "damn is that a pimple? I'm going to cover this stupid ass bitch ass thing"

Your female character doesn't get pretty by, taking off her glasses or taking her hair down.

Don't do that. Maybe a self conscious character did something to boost their self confidence okay!

Yet a girl using contacts not glasses doesn't make her prettier.
Making her put her hair down and/or straighten it doesn't make her better.
Putting make up on her doesn't immediately drag her crushes attention to her
Having her wear different clothing doesn't make her prettier.

So people who have curly hair or wear glasses should feel bad?? She wasn't pretty until then?? A boy is so fucken shallow she needed to change for his attention and I should enjoy reading that??
