Well a few things:
A character that is of color don't go and make them white
Adding and OC? Cool related to a character who is of color? Make the OC the same ethnicity
Don't know how to write a different/race/religion/ethnicity? Look up facts. Tip books on Wattpad etc

Celebrities who are nothing but drama or have bad allegations against them??
Don't use them for a face claim
Very simple
So if you like the look of the celeb find someone similar or base the looks of the celeb. But don't use the face claim.
Not that this a HUGE issue but lots of celebs have scandals and thats neither here nor there but some of them are just awful so don't use them as face claims
