TBH so much can go wrong writing fanfic off this show
The Blossom family is secretive and you don't know much about them. That and like so much is going on with them don't make your OC a Blossom.
Same with the Cooper family ^
Maybe even the Jones ^

Riverdale is all about past family's and this new generation
So you could just make a new family. I mean the storyline would be cool. Especially if you made them have their own dark past.
If your OC is from the North side of Riverdale doesn't mean they have to 'hate' the SouthSide Serpents. They could even have family there like Jughead.
If they are from the Southside they don't have to be assholes....
Like I read one and this girl in the Serpent Gang wore heels and leather jackets but she was just a total bitch. That's not cool
