Okay so (almost) everyone has a prologue, intro, cast, etc. before their first chapter
This is 100% okay.
What most readers hate is reading a cast list, summary, playlist, epigraph, prologue, and then finalllyyyyyy the first chapter appears
The first chapter has to be sooner that later I mean c'mon
So just don't make anything before your first chapter longer than maybe 2 'chapters'
Also your updates should be frequent
Or make your readers aware of a hiatus or slow updates.
I don't mean 1 time everyone other day but even once a week is okay depending on the length of your chapters.
Just don't update once every other month.
