Chapter 41

 Callie was now heading to the garage when she saw a detective walk out of it.

" Who is he?" Callie asked when she walked into the garage.

" FBI," Archie answered. " He wants to know what happened to Nick St. Clair."

"The shit had it coming to him," Callie stated.

" I might not have been an accident," Archie informed her.

"What?" Callie asked.

"No more questions," Archie told her. " I'm going to Cheryl's and then to New York. Will you be fine here all by yourself?"

"Yeah," Callie answered.

"If you run into trouble call Sweet Pea," Archie advised, Callie gave him a look. " I'm coming around."

" I will get your homework from school as well," Callie added.

"Thanks, sis," Archie breathed.

The next day Callie sat in the student lounge, she was sitting with the Serpents when they saw Jughead walk, still wearing the jacket.

" Oh hey guys," Jughead greeted them. " What's up?" He then went over to the vending machine.

" Take it off," Reggie demanded. He dropped the basketball and made his way over to Jughead, the Bulldogs walked over as well, the male Serpents got up and walked over as well. " Take off that jacket, Rat Boy." Jughead turned around as he sighed, Toni stayed back with Callie.

" Oh, Reggie," Jughead began. " I don't think you know what this jacket means. Because you have no sense of honor, or history, or loyalty."

"That's it," Reggie growled before throwing a punch. All the guys started fighting each other.

" Oh my, God," Callie breathed.

" Mr. Weatherbee..." Veronica called out from behind them. All of them now sat or stood in Principal Weatherbee's office.

" You all have a week's detention for fighting," Principal Weatherbee stated. He then stepped up to Jughead. " But I made myself clear to you, Mr. Jones. Take off that jacket, right now, or you're suspended."

"Please, Jughead, just-" Veronica pleaded.

" Then I guess I'm suspended," Jughead stated before walking over.  Later Toni was in the hallway with Jughead.

" Ever since he's joined the Serpents, he's become a bit of a drama queen," Callie stated as she rolled her eyes.

"You're not wrong," Toni agreed. " Will you be in detention too?"

" Well I didn't get detention," Callie reminded her.

" No serpent left behind," Toni reminded her.

" I also have Vixen practice after school," Callie brought up. " Cheryl will have my throat if I skip practice to spend time in detention."

"It's alright," Toni said.

"But if I will come by if practice ends early," Callie offered.

"You better," a voice stated from behind them. They turned to see Sweet Pea, he had another black eye, except on his eye.

" First the right eye, then the left eye," Callie commented. " Maybe they should get both the next time to create a pattern."

"Laugh all you want Shortstop," Sweet Pea growled. " It's the price for fighting, you will learn that if you ever get into an actual fight."
