Charlotte's POV

How could I have been so fucking stupid? Of course, they would figure out about the finger thing. I also just kept lying. They want me to trust and rely on them, but I know they see me as a burden. I quickly pack my stuff and climb out the window and out the hole I made in the fence. I know this is not the way to solve my problems, but I can't help but run.

It was nice here for a bit, but I have to go. It's for the best. Gio did bring up a good point. I don't know why I can't just trust them it's because of him. He ruined my ability to trust. I hope they feel relieved now.

                                                                                 Giovanni's POV

I knock on her door and receive no answer.

"Come on I know your mad," I say. I try a few more times.

"Fine, I'm gonna come in," I warn before taking out my key and unlocking the door. I open it I don't see her and after looking around I realize she isn't there. I do find a note.

I know I'm a lot and make you stressed. I've been told that by a few people. I hope this gives you relief. Thanks for everything. Maybe we'll see each other again someday. Enjoy your life back to normal.

-Charlie.

God I messed up. I run downstairs to warn the others. We begin to hastily search for her. Sandro and Bruno go to drive around to find her. I have been calling everyone I know and can trust, to have them help. Luca is hacking cameras around the city to find her. I know this is gonna be hard because she is smart and won't get caught unless she wants to.

                                                                                     Charlotte's POV

I know it won't be long before my brothers realize I left. I did leave them a note so theoretically, I told them where I am. It is very unspecific, but it's not breaking a rule. At first, I had no idea where I was headed, but the idea of going to the one brother who might be more understanding hit me. I guess living with them did impact me and a small, very small, part of me likes it.

I make my way to the train station carefully avoiding all cameras and constantly scanning my surroundings. I know my brothers are searching everywhere or at least I think because they say they care. I could be wrong and maybe they don't actually care like I said in my note. If that's the case then this whole trip is stupid.

I pay for my ticket with the exact amount of cash so they can't track me that way. I get on the train and sit in the back alone. I really hope no one pays attention to the young girl with no parents. I do look older for my age which is a good thing and if I really try I could pass for 18.

The train ride is a little over two hours which isn't bad. After my ticket is punched I pretend to fall asleep so no one would bother me. I of course had one eye open scanning the people on the train. The train pulls into the station in Clemson. According to the map at the station, it is a little over a mile from the university. I begin to walk again making sure to avoid the cameras.
