Giovanni's POV

I couldn't sleep last night so I stayed awake. I sit in my office trying to find ways to stop the Russians, but all have too many holes in them for it to work in our favor. Around 10 in the morning, my phone rings.

"Yes."

"Mr. Giordano, good morning. You know I wouldn't reach out if it wasn't an emergency," Gabriel on the other side of the phone says.

"Gabriel, what do want," I say not wanting to talk to him. We have our differences to put it nicely.

"We like you are having difficulty with the Russians and know your sister can help," I can tell he's unsure if she really can. As much as I don't want to work with him, or put Charlie through having to relive the past experiences if she can give us anything on the Russians I need that.

"What are you proposing?" I ask.

"We have a nice civil conversation with her," he says.

"I can arrange that. Tonight?" I ask.

"What time?"

"7:30," I say. He agrees and hangs up. Now to tell my brothers. The chances of this going well are very rare. The first I see are the twins.

"What are you two doing up here?"

"Our duties," Ale says.

"You know what I don't care. I need you two to be on your best behavior when our guests are here tonight," I say.

"We always are," Luc jokes.

"I'm serious no fights."

"Is that asshole Elliot coming over?" Ale asks. I nod.

"That bad?" Luc asks referring to the Russians. I nod again. They both keep walking. I really hope they don't cause problems. The rest go well just a lot of whys. But I have no other choice.

I told Nic to make dinner a bit earlier tonight and he does. Everyone is in their mind no one really talking. I can't take my eyes off her. I keep going back and forth. Is this the best idea?

"It's the only option," Vin reassures me. Dinner ends and we all depart. I head upstairs to my office where Elliot and Gabriel soon enter. We discuss a few things before I have Mat get Charlie. The younger three and Elliot leave the room. I don't want to overwhelm her and who knows what they might say.

Charlotte's POV

Dinner tonight was so weird. My brothers were almost completely silent. I am now in my room doing the homework I may or may not have procrastinated. It's History and I'm lost. How the fuck am I supposed to know who the speaker of the house is, who our state representative is, and all this shit. I just got here. I know the president and I think there's an election soon or something. Everyone else says it's so easy, but I don't agree.

"Charlie," Teo says.

"What," I say annoyed.

"I came to tell you Gio wants you. What's wrong?" He asks.

"The fuck did I do now. I'm just trying to do History."

"Hey calm down if you need help you can ask anyone of us, but Luca is the best option. Also, watch your tone and language."
