Overprotective

~13~ Party Trouble

It has been about 10 minutes since I came downstairs waiting for people to
Show up for the party.

Sally still had not texted back, and I was beginning to think she was just gonna be a little late.

I didn't think too much on it, because no matter what, I wanted to have a genuinely good time at this party.

"Lisa don't eat all of the snacks we actually need some for the party," Jason said snatching the Oreos from me.

"Hey, but everyone is taking so long" I whined looking up at Jason.

"Or you are just way too early," Jason said ruffling my hair and walking away WITH THE FOOD.

"Fine whatever I'll just find something else to eat," I said frowning at Jasons disappearing figure.

Just as I was about to get up and go to the kitchen the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it," I said running to the door.

I really hope it's Sally or even better Tony.

I opened the door and was greeted by some of Justin's friends.

Oh, it was just them. Their hands were filled with video game equipment and games.

"Hi, Ronnie hi Chad," I said letting them in.

"Justin your friends are here," I screamed up the stairs.

I went back to the living room looking outside. Jason was now out there putting up pool lights and such.

Jacob was probably in his room, and Dylan was lounging on the chair not helping Jason one bit.

I can clearly see the frustration on his face.

Another 3 minutes passed before the doorbell rang again.

This time I did not even get up to answer it, I just sat on the chair while the doorbell kept ringing.

"Geesh can you not hear Lisa, the doorbell is ringing," Jacob said coming down the stairs and going to the door.

He opened it and was greeted by Dylan's friends. OMG DYLANS FRIENDS. I quickly ran and stood behind the chair where they could not see me.

Ok, I have to admit both of them are very cute, but I am a little more interested in Tony.

I could hear his deep voice and smell his cologne from here.

"Yeah that fine, I will let Lisa set them in the kitchen and Dylan is outside by the pool." I heard Jacob say

"Lisa, come here" Jacob called out.

I came from behind the chair and slowly walked up to Jason, Tony, and Luxon.

"Can you put these in the kitchen, they are snacks for later," Jacob said giving me bottles and a couple bags of chips.

"Geesh get the littlest one to do all of the heavy liftings," I said giving Jacob an eye roll.

"Oh you will be fine," Jacob said walking away with Tony and Luxon, but I did not miss the not so secret wink Luxon gave me.

Oh boy.

I walked as quickly as I could towards the kitchen setting the contents on the counter.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder what these bottles are anyway.

Just as I was about to read them it was taken away by none other than Dylan.

"Hey, when did you get in here I did not even hear you," I said looking up at Dylan.

" Umm nothing no need to get these, I will take that and that, umm yeah that's all bye."

And just as fast as he came in he was gone and so were the bottles and the chips.

I went back into the living room, and at this point, I don't think Sally is coming. This was a little disappointing because I thought Sally was my friend.

I went outside in hopes to have some fun and forget about that entire Sally business.

"Hey Lisa where is sally, is she running late, she usually is here early," Jason said coming towards me with a towel over his shoulder soaking wet.

He must have just gotten out of the pool.

" Umm yeah she must be running a little late," I said with a nervous laugh hoping that it was true.

"Anyway until she comes I am going into the pool," I said to Jason

"Ok but just be careful," Jason said with concern.

I was not a great swimmer by any means, so if I were to go into the deep end of the pool........I would surely drown.

"Gotcha big bro," I said running towards the shallow end of the pool.

I got in and it was really warm. I started swimming around and doing all sorts of tricks.

I was so caught up on what I was doing that I did not realize Sally get into the pool.

Wait.....Sally she did not even text to say she was here.

I was about to go over to her to see what the deal was about, but I saw her hanging around Tony instead.

The sight of this broke my heart. Sally knows about my huge crush on Tony, and how I feel about him, and she swore to never come between that.

I Know we should not objectify him like that, but that fact that she broke that code hurt me more than her actual flirting with him.

At this, I ran out of the pool And into the house.

On the way to my room, I ran into Justin.

Tears were now streaming down my face. Thankfully you cannot really tell because of my face still soaking wet.

I went around Justin and up the stairs into my room.

I can't believe Sally would do this to me, after being friends with me for so long, and after me sharing all of my darkest secrets with her.

I picked up a picture of me and Sally and threw it to the ground. The frame shattered into many pieces.

I sat on my bed and hid under the covers. At this point, I was crying my eyes out.

It had probably been 15 minutes before someone came and knocked on my door.

"What do you want," I said to whoever was on the other side.

The door opened to reveal Luxon.
I was surprised and hid under the covers even more if that was possible.

"What are doing in here don't my brother's have some sort of spell on you not to come near me," I said staying under the covers.

" Yeah well, I saw how sad you were when you left so I thought I would come and help you feel better." He said.

I peaked my head from out if the covers, wiped my face and looked at him.

"Yeah well I am fine you can leave now."

"But, I don't. Look the party isn't even that fun anyway, I would much rather be up here with you." He said coming and sitting next to me.

I smiled a little at that, feeling a little less sad.

" Well your little speech worked.....so do you wanna watch Netflix," I said looking up at my hopefully new best friend.

" Whatever you wanna do," he said looking down at me......
