After, having breakfast with Isaac, she drove him to school, giving him a lecture, about not fighting, to avoid him from accidentally shifting in front of others.
"Do you understand me, Isaac? No more fighting, especially not in school" Payton stated as she parked in the school lot
"I promise" said Isaac, making her smile at the teenager
"Good, now go have a nice day, if you see Erica or Boyd, tell them to give me a call if they need a lift, you as well" He nodded as he got out of the car, as Payton stayed in the car watching him enter the school entrance.
"You are really acting like there mother" Payton jumped and let out a light shriek as she turned to the now occupied passenger seat
"What the fuck Derek! Don't just pop out of nowhere!" She scowled at the Alpha who was smirking at her.
"And, It's my job, you bit them, Derek, I get you to think it's right for them, but I don't, but what done is done, so I have to watch out for them" Payton stated as she looked over to Derek who was frowning at her
"They are happier now"
"Yeah, okay, that's true—at least for Erica and Boyd...but they are also just kids Derek" Payton narrowed her eyes at him," You seem to forget that"
"I know, okay, I don't need to be lectured, again, Payton" He retorted as she let out a sigh

"Me?" Derek asked surprised and she raised an eyebrow at him
"Obviously, why else am I staying around?"
"Because I'm blackmailing you" Derek answered and she snorted
"You really think that's why I stay? I get your Alpha, but you care about Scott, so I highly doubt you'll stop helping him, you need him" Derek just looked at Payton as she drove out of the school, and went silent just looking at her, it was exactly as she said, he couldn't just leave Scott stranded, not now, especially since the teenager saved his life.
Sure, he blackmailed Payton, but she was smart and knew he didn't really mean them, and he was easily caught with the empty threat," Little Hale, take a picture it last longer" She teased him and Derek realized he was staring at her too long.
"No thanks, my camera will break" He turned trying to hide the smile that was appearing on his face.
All Payton did was let out a laugh as she drove them," Wait, so, where exactly are you taking me?" Derek asked
"I'm kidnapping you" She taunted as he rolled his eyes
"Right, you are doing a horrible job at it, seriously where are you taking me?"
Payton made a face to Derek, but not turning away from the road," You do realize you hopped in my car, right?"
"I didn't think you start the car and drive" Derek added
"Well, it's over and done with, so I'm taking you on a date" He looked at her to see if she was joking, but saw that she was serious.
