Beauty and the Alpha [BEING REWRITTEN]

Chapter 3

I woke up very early to prepare for school. For the first time my mom didn't have to shout for me to get ready, I was suddenly feeling very nervous, there's just something scary about starting at a new school as a teenager compared to growing in the same school.

I don't know how people here will be towards me and being completely new just makes it worse not forgetting that I don't follow trends so I might just be a little under dressed . After bathing I went to check out what to wear, yes I've never cared much about my appearance but since I was starting a new school I felt it appropriate to be presentable. I don't know why I was suddenly thinking like this. I ended up choosing navy blue skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and black vans sneakers then I put on my black leather jacket to compliment my dark cherry  hair

I went to join my mom in the kitchen while she made breakfast and lunch. "I made some pancakes sweety, eat up. It's going to be a long day" she said but I really couldn't stomach anything, not even an apple

"I'll pass, I'll eat lunch" I said while tapping the kitchen island with my fingers

"oh Ava, it's going to be ok. I know the first day at a new school is  challenging but give it a few days.. It will be ok, maybe you will even bump into Kayla" she tried to cheer me up

"Yea hopefully I'll bump into her, it would be nice" I said as I tried to calm myself down

We got in the car and she drove me to school, unfortunately her workplace is a bit far from my school so I would have to catch the bus starting from tomorrow.

'CRESCENT HIGH SCHOOL'

These words were written in bold letters on the school entrance gate. I had mixed feelings just by reading them, I also noticed that there seemed to be a forest a little further opposite the school, it probably leads to the one I saw when we drove to our house, again it gave me a sense of comfort and calmness, I found myself staring at it for a while before making my way into the building

I walked up the stairs to the entrance of the building taking in the sorroundings, luckily I quickly found my locker and put in my books, afterwards I checked my timetable to see where I was supposed to be, everyone seemed to be minding their own business and not noticing the new girl which was a huge relief, if I could just blend in without being noticed it would be awesome.

I checked the time and found that I had less than five minutes to get to class and I didn't even know where to find it, I followed the alphabets and numbers until I found it, unfortunately when I walked in everyone was already seated and they all turned to look at me when I stepped in.

"You must be Ava Anderson, please come in" the teacher said as he motioned for me to go sit on the chair next to the side wall

"I'm Mr Peterson, I hope you will find our school most welcoming although I hope the late coming was only reserved for today" he narrowed his eyes at me and I just nodded. I felt the gazes on me so I quickly went to sit down trying to calm myself down

When the bell rang I started packing my things when one of the guys in class came to my desk, he was a lot taller than me with brown hair that matched his brown eyes, he had muscles which made it obvious that working out must be a hobby for him

He cleared his throat to catch my attention and I suddenly felt embarrassed for being caught while starring

"the name is Zayne, Zayne Pride... I wouldn't mind showing you around seeing you're new, we wouldn't want you to arrive late in all your classes now would we" he smirked

"uhh yea... Yea I'd really appreciate that... Im Ava by the way... But of course you already know" I said feeling shy all of  a sudden then I showed him my timetable.
