Yeona's POV

The bright sunlight filtering into my room wakes me up. I sit up in confusion, not used to this feeling. It takes me a moment to realize why my morning feels so strange.

Where's Luna?

I roll out of bed, worry flooding through me. Luna hasn't missed a morning for months now, if I'm not mistaken. Something bad must have happened to her...

"Luna! Where are you? Luna?" I call, checking all the corners of my room and then proceeding into the living room area.

And there she is.

Of course, I should have realized. Luna isn't in any kind of danger whatsoever. My cat is sitting on my desk, staring out the window again. So she's left me for those two cats... Louis and Leon were their names, I believe. Disappointed, but not surprised.

The events of the previous day suddenly come flooding back to me as I approach Luna. The two cats are there again, sitting at their spot in the other window. Taped on the screen is a sign, one that I haven't seen yet.

"Sorry I missed that. You'll probably see this in the morning, so... Good Meowning!"

I surprise myself by letting out a laugh. That pun was so bad that it's good... Man, the cat owner really managed to make me laugh. They should be proud of themselves.

I then turn my attention back to my cat, who has actually started paying attention to me. She's meowing and turning in circles on my desk. She must want something.

"Breakfast?" I ask, walking towards the kitchen. She doesn't follow me, but starts meowing even louder.

I finally realize what she wants. Of course, she wants me to open the window so she can do her thing with the other two cats. I swear, I don't even understand why she's so dedicated to them. Has she been sitting here this whole night instead of sleeping?

Then again, I have to admit, this is actually kind of fun. I hate that, the moment I saw that sign, my first idea was to respond to it. I don't do socialization-

Alright, but I'll respond anyways. I write out a simple, "Good Meowning" on the back of my paper from last night, then tape it up. Considering that the other sign wasn't there until last night after ten, which is when I slept, I'd think the person isn't going to respond anytime soon.

"Luna, breakfast?" I repeat. Glancing at the kitchen, I notice that she's actually finished all of her food. It's nice to know she isn't so attached to Louis and Leon that she'll skip out on meals.

She jumps into the window sill, making me sigh. "Alright, you do your thing, and I'll just do my thing."

~Time Skip~

I've spent the morning sitting at my desk next to Luna, doing digital art stuff again. The other cat owner still hasn't responded. Either they aren't awake yet, which is likely, or they're ignoring me, which is less likely but still possible.

Wow, I really am getting attached to this interesting form of communication. I'm not even sure why I'm sitting here, waiting for some person to tape a piece of paper to their window.

This person... This person I know close to nothing about. My imagination begins to wander. What is this person like?

Just then, I catch a slight movement out of the corner of my eye. The other person, impersonating their cats, has taped up a new piece of paper. "Meowning, how are you?"

I quickly grab my pen, making sure that the person still can't see me. I then write, "You should know, I was at the window for a lot of the night, but I had a few nice naps."

This is gonna be an interesting conversation.
