*Earlier*

Dream was sitting in her room, putting post-it notes in Henry's book. Henry believed the safest place to hide his book was with his sister. But Dream used her time with the book to study it. She wanted answers. The more she learned about the truth, the more questions she got.

"Hey..."

Dream looked up when she saw Regina standing at the door with a plate in her hand. "I made you a grilled cheese..." Regina smiled when Dream closed the book when Regina came over, setting the grilled cheese on top of the storybook.

Dream looked at her mom, not saying anything when she took half of the grilled cheese sandwich, when Regina picked up the other half, showing her daughter that she just wanted to talk like they used to. "So... I know our relationship has been strained since the curse broke and everything, but you know that you can always talk to me, Dreamy," Regina said, taking a bite of the sandwich.

"You wanna know about Hook..." Dream sighed when she took the crust off, putting it back on the plate.

"I mean if you want to talk about it..." Regina tried to say, pretending that that was not already the topic she wanted to discuss. "There's nothing to talk about." Dream sighed when she took a bite of the sandwich.

Regina sighed, looking at her daughter when she could tell something was up. "Really, Dream? I'm not stupid. I see the yearning looks and the red cheeks." Regina said when Dream sighed, sitting the sandwich down when she crossed her arms over her chest. "I kissed him... You happy? But it was not like I could control it." Dream said when she moved to grab the bottle that Hook showed Smee a few days ago. "I found this on his ship. And well, I figured since he couldn't control my heart, then this must be some sort of potion." Dream sighed when Regina grabbed the vile.

"Obedience... This is my mother's work." Regina sighed when Dream looked down at the fingers. "Did you feel anything when you kissed him?" Regina asked when she sighed to herself. Her little girl was not so little.

"I was under a spell." Dream said, avoiding giving her mom any real answer.

Regina noticed that she avoided the real answer when Regina sighed, looking over to see Cora waiting by the door. "Give me a second, sweetie," Regina said, standing up when she led her mother downstairs.

"Did you give this to Hook?" Regina asked, holding up the bottle when she looked at her mother.

"He needed Dream to trust him. So, I made a small potion to help our cause." Cora said when Regina scoffed, putting the bottle on the table. "Mother? You cannot use my daughter like that." Regina scoffed when Cora moved to rub Regina's arm. "I am not using her, dear... But do you really believe that Dream will help us? Her trust in you is not as strong as it used to be. And who knows if Gold, or even Hook, will take her away from you. Just like Emma has done with Henry." Cora sighed when Regina looked at her mother.

"Gold would never--" Regina went to say.

"He is powerful. I would not put it against him." Cora sighed when she gave a concerned smile to Regina. Regina sighed, looking at the bottle, before turning to see Dream. She had listened in. "What's going on?" Dream asked her mother when Regina sighed, tears welling in her eyes when she moved in front of Dream.

"I'm so sorry, sweetie." She sighed when she reached into Dream's chest, causing her to gasp from the pressure. Regina pulled out a pure, glowing heart when Dream looked at her mother, confused. "I cannot risk losing you," Regina said, kissing Dream's forehead when Dream looked hurt.
