I stood frozen in my position

I stood frozen in my position. Maybe I should just run away? I pulled my hoodie over my head and pulled the two strings to cover my face. Now you look stupid.

I turned my body to face Leo and waved dramatically. I peeped through the small hole to see him walking over to me. "Why are you covering your face." He questioned.

"Trust me you don't wanna see what's under this face." I threaten.

"What are you taking about I'm sure it's not that bad." He chuckles reaching for my hoodie to pulled it back. "No!" I sneered slapping his hand away.

I looked at my imaginary wristwatch and peeped back at Leo. I can't really make up his facial expression but I shrug it off. "Well the time is ticking so we better get going."

"Can you even see in that?"

"Yes now go."I motion for him to lead the way while I follow behind. The tip of my foot comes in contact with the edge of a curb which sends me flying toward and landing face flat in the road.

I scurry off the ground and catch up to him. He sees that I'm struggling so I feel him grab my shoulders and directs me to his car. He opens the passenger door for me and helps me gets settled inside.

I shriek when I hear the door open on his side. The whole ride to his parents' house was so silent and awkward. The fancy gates of the Embers Estate gracefully opened as Leo drove in and parked next to a Bugatti.

We both got out and walked up the stairs of the big mansion. I was trying so hard to not trip as I was peeping through my hoodie. Leo opened the door for men and thanked him. I entered the premises and noticed the place sounded empty. There wasn't a door man like that last time I was here. Not even a maid in sight.

"Why is it so empty?" I mumbled.

"The maids and other staff were asked to help out for an event this evening but I'm not going. So we have the house all to ourselves." Leo smiled.

We walked further into the mansion and straight to the kitchen. "The pantry's over there you can grab any snacks you like. I walked over to the pantry and open the double door.

My eyes widened at the different types of snacks. I pulled down my hoodie finally being able to breathe again, I walked in and saw a cute basket. I grabbed it and filled it with everything.

I got out of the pantry as I was satisfied with everything I picked. I closed the double door and turned around and noticed Leo wasn't in the kitchen.

I placed the basket onto the kitchen island. "Leo?" I called out. I walked into the living room and no one was in sight. I furrowed my eyebrows. I went back to the foyer and I see the glass double doors that leads to the garden and the stables at the back of the house. He's probably outside.

I walked out of the foyer and exited the mansion leading to to garden. I admired the beautiful agriculture of plants and the very green grass. I see a stable from afar, as I was about to go towards the stables I hear a growling sound. I turn my back and see a black Doberman.
