While mom and Rhea were bickering at each other and seeing my dad struggling with them, my phone rings in vibrate and catches my attention. Leo's name appears on the screen, so I send a text saying I can't answer now but we can text. My phone stops ringing while I wait for Leo to finish typing.
Leo: I need your help. Please.
I can't right now and I'm kind of busy but I might come back in and hour or so.
Leo: I'll wait but when you're back I'll come fetch you.
I reply an with an okay and turn my attention back to mom and Rhea. Luckily they stopped arguing. To be honest if my dad was like Kieran he would've so encouraged my mom to unalive Rhea. I'm glad she's still holding herself till now.
After we finish with our lunch we decide to go home but Rhea complains that she's not done yet. This bitch is carelessly spending my dad's money on unnecessary things.
"I don't think I can stay here any longer, I have an IT assignment and Leo is on his way to get me." I lie. Rhea huffs in annoyance. "Why didn't you just stay at home!" Rhea complains. "I should be asking you that question since you're being a nuisance and a burden in our family reunion."
"My education is way more important than those lingeries and vibrators you bought with my dad's money, fucking pathetic." I conclude and my mom giggles next to me.
"Ok that's enough, Xara you should go and do your assignment." Dad gets up collecting all the shopping bags. He calls the waiter for the bill.
We're in the car on our way home and Rhea in the passenger still upset that we had to leave early. Where or what is even the thing that she would make up to my mom for her animal behaviour?
I already texted Leo a few minutes ago that I was on my way home. We arrive at the house with Leo's Maserati parked in front of the car.
I say my goodbyes to my parents and Rhea and head to Leo's car. I sat in the passenger seat and Leo starts the car. "So why do you need me."
"There was a fashion show that I was invited to and Xavier couldn't come and I need a date."
"Why can't you go alone?" I ask curiously. I can't go out hanging with Leo because It'll raise suspicions and people are gonna assume things.
"Remember Jennifer Monte?"
"Yes?"
"Well she went on Twitter to ask me to take her on a date for the Mugler fashion week and I said no."
