because why wouldn't i be bombarded with question the second i got back
"uhhhhhhhhh" did i want to tell them? no. was i going to eventually? yeahhh
"what happened" lyss asked me
"well long story short, this guy was forcing me to come back to his house and i kept saying no but he kept pushing it and pablo came and then fought him and i brought him to the showers to clean him cause his nose was bleeding and yeah that's it"
"how are you acting so causal that the boy that stood you up starting fighting a boy to protect you" mase asked concerned
"well it wasn't that big of a deal, anyways let's go swimming!" i said
lyss pulled me away, "girl tell me what you don't wanna say in front of them"
"well first off he told me how he didn't like to see another guys hands on me, which gave me butterflies.... and then apologized for not being there and wants to make it up to me by taking me to dinner tomorrow"
"and you said yes?"
"well yeah"
"what if he doesn't show again?"
"well he explained what really happened and there was really no way of getting out of it, i trust him"

i explained it really well to her, "umm what's the beef???" she asked
"i'm wondering the same thing omg i'm invested"
"okay anyways let's go back to the boys cause they're starting to stare"
"you're right" we laughed
"took you guys long enough" chris said
i nudged his shoulder as we all started to pack up, "before we go.. let's play a game of volleyball at the sand courts" chris mentioned
"omg yes let's go, i got chels as my partner" mase said
"cause i'm just the best" i joked
"you wish" mason said back to me
we walked over and luckily there was nobody there
before we started me and mason did our handshake we did all the time as kids
we played for around 20 minutes and we were beating chris and lyss very badly, "that's no fair, you guys played together as kids" lyss said
"that sounds like a you problem" i joked with her
she laughed and we all went back to the outdoor showers to wash off all the sand. we then started to walk back to the car which wasn't far away at all
"I CALL SHOTGUN" i yelled and ran
that meant lyss and chris were in the back since it was masons car
"ughhhhhh" lyss complained
when we were all in the car i connected my phone to the radio
"it's a 7 minute drive and you just have to connect your phone" mase asked
"duh, 7 minutes means i can play 2 or maybe 3 songs"
"play taylor swift" chris said
"really? i wasn't planning to!!" i said back
"do you guys really only listen to taylor swift?" lyss asked
"and ed sheeran, and bon iver, and future, and kendrick lamar, and gary lightbody, and phoebe bridgers, and-" and then lyss cut mason off
"stop naming taylor swift song features"
"okay well then no i don't listen to anyone else"
"thought so"
we dropped lyss off to her house and she thanked us, "see you soon love you" i yelled out
"love u toooo" she blew a kiss
"i'm bored" mase said
"we literally just left the beach mase" i replied
"yeah i know"
"so what do you wanna do" chris asked him
"can we have a movie night, i don't wanna do too much since we have a game tomorrow and i wanna be well rested"
"yesss omg we haven't had a movie night altogether in so long" i excitedly said
we got back to the house and i showered and put pajamas on, mason and chris then showered and i was making popcorn as i got a text
