chapter 19 - chan to the rescue! ... nevermind

chans pov

after i saw agust break down like he did, i decide to do something.

that night, i put agust and jeongin to bed. both of them have been getting more and more depressed each day, and i intend to do something about it.  i am the father of this god dang family. i need to keep them together and happy.

I get on the bus that takes me close to seungmins house, then do what i can to get to him.

Seungmins pov

its been eleven days, well past the amount of time i had planned to stay.

unfortunatley, they locked the doggy door i used to use.

on top of that, they keep a close eye on me when they leave the house, so i cant slip out then.

i had started to jimmy a window open in preperation, but the mistress caught me and master fixed it.

ive been panicking.

not to mention, at night, I've started shifting into my human form on accident.

granted, if i could shift and quickly unlock the door and leave, then relock the door, thatd be cool.

but the neighbors would notice a naked boy leaving the house.

plus, what if my owners heard? they would shoot me.

at the thought of calleng them 'my owners', i shiver in disgust.

i pace in front of the window, plotting.

i miss agust and his warm cuddles.

i miss sweet little jeongin and his soft bunny ears.

i miss woojin hyungs yummy cinnamon rolls.

oh, and Chan hyung with his soft grey fur.

i zone, staring out of the window.

it wasnt until a figure slinked into our yard that i looked.

it was getting dark, so it took me a minute to recognize channie hyung.

he catches sight if me in the window and points to the back door.

this might be my moment.

i hop down and make my way there, but not until i hear the mistress screech,

"Hubby! theres an intruder at the back door! get the shotgun!"

theres lots of rustling and loud stomps until the master barrels to the back door, yanking it open.

chan looks startled and cowers back.

"You nasty hybrid. begging on the streets like trash. i will shoot you if you dont leave."

its a promise.

i try to slip out, but he kicks me hard in the stomach, throwing me back in the house.

chan flinches, reaching a bit.

master swats his hand with the gun, making a CRACK noise.

that could not have felt good on his healing arm.

chan whimpers, biting into his fist.

"get out of here. now." master goes to strike chan again, this time on the head, but i make a split second decision and lunge for him, claws out.

Chan's pov

its the most violent I'd ever seen the hybrid.

fur and clothes were flying, and as soon as he was flung, he shifted, grabbing my hand and dragging us out of his backyard in record time.

i could hear the old man cursing at us as we ran away.

agusts pov.

i wake up to a sniffling noise and being shaken slightly.

i open my eyes and pet jeongins head.

"what is it, bun? im trying to sleep."

"wheres channie hyung? he still hasnt come to bed."

"no?"

i know we went to bed without him, but this is ridiculous.

i sit up, getting out of bed.

after a thorough inspection of the house, it becomes very clear to me that chan is not even home.

i try to not freak out and go back to the bun, whos shaking on the bed.

"dont worry, he'll be home soon." i promise.

"a-and if hes not?"

"he will be, because if hes not, im breaking his nose."

we fall asleep waiting for him, unfortunatley.

--

the next morning, im woken up by something tickling my nose.

"jeongin, stop it." i mumble, swatting what i assume to be his ear away.

it keeps happening, so i repeat my actions.

"but hyung, im not jeongin." a small, tinkling voice eventually protests.

i gasp, sitting bolt-straight up.

sure enough, my seungmin is there, and i waste no time crushing him into a hug.

jeongin and Chan watch us reunite, laughing.

Lol that's about it for this arc.

I'm not exactly sure how to end this, but I've got a few cute ideas.

I've got another story possibly lined up after this... No promises, tho.

Or maybe I could turn this into a webcomic...
