"Secret, wait!" said Jane, grabbing my arm.

I easily shook her off.

"What." I hissed.

"Please Secret....tell us. I'm begging you. Please. At least give us a hint..." begged Jane.

Everyone looked shocked. Jane Volturi just...begged? That term seemed foreign when used on a vampire with a reputation like her.

"Are you...begging?" I asked, thinking that I just daydreamed all that.

"Yes...please?" she said.

Ok. I really am dreaming. I pinched myself.

"Ok.....who are you and what did you do with the real Jane?" I asked, giving her a suspicious look.

She rolled her eyes.

"I am Jane ok?" she mumbled.

"Ok....clearly I am dreaming and not waking up." I muttered.

"Just....please?" she seemed more annoyed right now.

"Ok ok. I'll give you guys an impossible riddle. This is something that humans have that vampires do not. When you contract this, doctors will tell you to live life to its fullest. You never know when you are going to leave. Only time does."

Jane looked shocked.

"Ok." was all she could make out.

"Now if you'll excuse me, all that fighting made me tired again. I will be retiring to my room. Good night." I whispered.

Jane, Alec, Demetri, and Felix ran into the game room.

"What is something that humans have that vampires do not?" sputtered out Jane.

"A lot of things. Diseases, mortality, flaws, aging, children, food." listed off Demetri.

"Ok...thanks for narrowing the options down Demetri." growled Jane.

He put his hands up in surrender.

"Hey! You asked the question. I just provided an answer." he defended.

Jane rolled her eyes but chose to ignore him.

"Ok. Apparently, when humans contract this, doctors tell them to live life to its fullest." said Jane.

"You don't say Sherlock. We all heard her." muttered Demetri.

Jane glared at him before he fell on the floor screaming.

"Not another word out of you." she hissed, lifting her power.

He nodded quickly before standing up again.

"Wait...doctors. This has to be a disease then. Vampires don't have diseases. And this has to be a deadly disease. Something that could kill you." reasoned Alec.

Jane nodded.

"Something that could kill you. Tuberculosis? Pneumonia?" she guessed.

"No....they invented a cure for that a long time ago. Something that they can't cure. Something that destroys your body."

"Quick. Get all the medical books and make a list of all possible diseases." ordered Jane.

They immediately flitted off, looking through their very large library. Five minutes later, they returned with a long list of things.

"What do we have?" asked Jane.

"We should look for things that all of us have on our list. It would be a more possible factor." suggested Felix.

Jane nodded and put all their lists together, comparing the words.

"No....no....no...oh no." she whispered.

"What? What is it? Are all of ours the same?" asked Alec.

"No. Worse." Jane whispered.

"What? What could possibly be worse than starting from the beginning?" asked Felix.

"Getting the answer." she muttered.

"Which is?" prompted Alec.

"Apparently....according to our list.....Secret has cancer."
