I Love You...Right?

Over the next few months, I lived at R.J.'s house. He greeted me every day with the same, if not more hospitality than the previous. To be truthful, this was a lot more relaxing than being with the Volturi because I can be who I want to be without anyone judging. I just got home from my hunt when I saw R.J. blanking out. He did that a lot because of his gift, future seer. It was like Alice's gift except his visions did not change. His visions saw through every change that might occur. Therefore, his visions cannot be manipulated like Alice's can. In a way, he is a lot more powerful than she is.

"So what did you see?" I asked, plopping down on the couch.

He faced me worry all over his face. 

"What's wrong?" I asked after he didn't respond me.

"It's the Volturi. They're coming for me. They don't know that you are here." he said.

I stiffened at the sound of their coven name. I haven't heard it in such a long time.

"Why are they coming if not for me?" I asked, my voice nothing more than a whisper.

"They want me to join their coven. They received a great blow after you left. People know that the Volturi got weaker because of it and Aro doesn't want anyone trying to overthrow them. They wanted Alice for a long time, you see. The arrival of someone with a even more powerful and accurate gift than hers must make Aro very power hungry." he sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

 "I'm sorry. If I just stayed out of your life, this would have never happened. If I just leave, maybe they won't come after you and after me instead. I'm sorry. Please forgive me." I mumbled, getting my jacket and walking out.

He placed a hand on my shoulder and smashed his lips into mine. It felt....like a normal kiss. Not as amazing as when Alec...no I have to get him out of my mind! He kept kissing me forcefully and I, almost willingly, kissed back. 

"I love you. Nothing is your fault. Nothing is." he whispered.

"Thank you R.J. I love you too." the words almost seemed foreign to me. 

His smile widened and he kissed me softly once again. I felt like I was betraying Alec but then again, he so willingly tossed me away like I was garbage. Then again, I was just one of his sluts. Once he was finished with me, he tossed me away just like every other one. I must have blanked out because the next thing I knew, R.J. was shaking me.

"Secret! Secret!" he said worriedly.

I blinked my eyes a few times.

"Hm? Sorry?" I asked, confused.

"You blanked out for five minutes. I was worried." he said, concern filling his voice.

"You....worried about me?" I asked, surprise crossing my face.

"Of course." he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the entire world.

Wow. Alec never showed any signs of caring or worrying about me. No! Why must I keep thinking of him? I love R.J. only. At least...that's what I thought.
