I have never been so unhappy to be right. She struck again today. We almost lost Felix and Demetri. We managed to capture her in the dungeons but she easily escaped. I'm starting to wonder if defeating her was even possible.
"That's it! I'm going to find her and kill her once and for all!" I growled.
I tried to push past Alec but he kept a firm grip on my shoulders.
"Let me go!" I cried.
"No." he insisted.
"Why? I want to avenge Felix and Demetri who almost got killed!" I cried.
"No. They didn't get killed and now they are fine. If you go now, you will only make rash decisions." he reasoned.
I sighed and collapsed in his arms.
"I feel so useless." I whisper.
"You are not useless. You are the Volturi's greatest weapon. Without you, the Volturi members would've been killed."
I felt a tiny spark of energy bubble out.
"Is that all I am worth? A weapon?" I asked quietly.
"NO! You are so much more than that to me." he said.
"I don't think so." I whisper, walking away towards me room, crying and collapsing in my bed.
Alec walked to Jane, still miserable from the conversation ten minutes ago.
"What's wrong brother?" she asked, concerned.
"Nothing sister." he mumbled, trying to brush past her.
She quickly grabbed his wrist and forced him to look at her.
"Tell me." she begged.
"It's Secret....I think I blew it. Again." he spat angrily.
"Go make amends then. Wallowing in your own guilt will only make it worse. Show her how much you love her because I know that you do. Everyone does. Only Secret can't see that." smiled Jane encouragingly.
"Alright." he whispered, walking off to Secret;s room.
I hugged a pillow, facing the dim window and closed my eyes. Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms weave itself around me.
"Mi dispiace mio amore." he whispered.
I cried even harder and curled in his chest.
"I forgive you." I whispered.
He seemed so much more relieved.
"Grazie." he said, kissing my forehead.
