I looked at my love who was staring down at me with those gorgous red eyes of his. It was funny....I told him everything. Every little secret, he knew. Yet...if you asked me to describe him or name something unique about him, I couldn't. I wanted to know him better.

"Hey Alec?" I asked.

"Yes love?" he replied, tucking a strand of loose hair behind my ear.

I blushed slightly.

"How were you turned?" I asked.

He sighed.

"It's a long story. I think Jane could tell you a better story than I can....but I will try to tell it to you from my point of view. I was born to a poor family. Our mother was an Anglo-Saxon woman and our father was a Frankish soldier so he wasn't home that often. Our parents loved us very much but I saw past their comforting words. In their eyes were something that cannot be explained. It was...fear? Whatever it was, it only increased over time. Our powers started emerging and people got suspicious. People tended to stray away from my sister and I. My best friend, Ryan, was the only person that trusted my family and did not believe the villager's nonsense. He would often visit us since his family didn't really care for him. He was the split image of a perfect friend. Loyal, brave, and kind. Jane even warmed up to him, and she was a shy girl. Of course, all that changed the day that we were changed. It was a nightmare. The villagers murdered our parents and dragged Jane and I to the center of town where two stakes lay. They nailed our hands and feet onto them. I couldn't even hold my beloved sister's hand. I could tell that she was scared. Ryan tried to help us, to plead for mercy, but this ony made the villagers throw him into a dungeon. I never saw him after. But anyway, once the villagers threw fire at our feet and our skin started burning, Jane screamed louder than ever before. Her screams could shatter a glass, in fact, there are cracked windows back in my old town to prove that. Maybe I'll take you there one day for a vacation. Our crosses still lay there, in ashes. After a while, when I fainted, Aro and the Volturi guards killed all of the townspeople. He them changed Jane and I. Three days later, I woke up in this medieval castle as a newborn."

I looked up in shock.

"I'm so sorry." I whispered.

He shook his head.

"It's all over now. What's in the past is in the past." he said.

"You are a brave soul Alec. I bet that Ryan would be proud of you if he were alive. In fact, I bet he is looking down from heaven right now and smiling at you." I reassured.

Alec gave me a small smile.

"Thank you." he whispered.

"No. Thank you. It must have been hard reliving that. Thank you for telling me." I said, kissing him softly on the lips.
