The way she pushed herself away from him, towards the edge of the bed, made Faris glare at her. He had had it enough. Not her wanting to prove him as desperate. He got up and she again felt everything became jammed up since he was hella tall as well.

"What the hell is wrong with you, woman? Do you think I am dying to touch you?" He growled, scowling at her with his grey eyes.

Ajwa gritted her brows together. Who was he to disrespect her like this? "I will rather die than to even think about it. Keep your high hopes to yourself, Mister."

She got off the bed but continued to glare at him. Amidst all this worry and anger, he got regaled by the way she was eyeing him as though she would eat him alive. Again the contrast between her small figure, delicate features, and that lioness attitude was shown here.

He tilted his head to look at her sarcastically. "Why does this tongue always work in front of me? You should have said no during the nikkah. On the phone call, someone was claiming high that she would disrespect my family by saying no."

Her lips zipped for a moment. She indeed declared very lofty talks to him that she would destroy them without caring for the fact that her father would instead engulf her in his blackmail. But Ajwa didn't want to appear weak in front of him and tell him about her shortcomings.

"Why didn't you say no then? You are a man and no one would have forced you. I was your brother's to-be bride. You didn't feel ashamed to wed your brother's woman in place of him?" She hit him straight at the right place and then she saw as he curled his fingers in fists to control himself from lashing out at her.

He clenched his jaw and gazed away from her since by looking at her, his resentment was increasing. And then her asserting herself as Faraan's woman did the rest of the work. He was a calm person but this girl was making him lose it.

He stood up from the bed and walked in her direction. Stopping a small distance away from him, he regarded her from head to toe. She barely reached his chest yet had a tongue of many meters. She felt weird under his scrutiny.

"This marriage is as forceful for me as you. I did this solely to protect the dignity of you and my family so get every other idiotic thought out of your mind," he said, truthfully. "Regarding my brother, he didn't want to marry you hence he left on the wedding day. I had no wish to claim something which is not mine."

She scoffed. "As if I am mourning his fleeing away." Looking around the room, her eyes caught the attention of the small two-seater couch. "But I just got stuck with you now. You are worst than that jerk even. He didn't seem that rude and full of himself," she whispered.

Faris who was on his way back to the bed halted at his track and turned around to see her. "I heard that."

She shrugged her shoulders. "I never intended you hide it from you in the first place."

His eyes were spilling daggers at her but he again withheld himself from saying anything harsh. He knew she was also a victim here. First of all, it wasn't her place. Her sister was Faraan's fiance and then him being stupid, chose her to end this engagement. And then, she got her unwanted husband replaced by another unwanted husband.

Ajwa grabbed the pillow from the side of the bed she was laying on earlier and walked towards the sofa.

"Where are you going?" He asked seeing her going.

She just moved her neck without slanting her body and looked at him. "To the hell. Want to join?"

He smirked. "No, that place only needs people like you. I am fine in this paradise."
