It was some part of the night when Faraan started feeling hungry. After having a few snacks at Jazib's place now his stomach was calling him. He went out of his room and headed towards the kitchen. He thought everyone would be sleeping but got surprised to find the light in the kitchen on. Who was here at midnight?

As he got nearer, he heard some faint voices from inside and the giggling of a girl.

"Faris let me work." It was Ajwa.

"Then what am I doing? I am helping you, Sunshine." Then he heard Faris's voice. He sounded so happy. Faraan never heard him this contented before. He always remained reserved but here with this girl, he was seeing a totally different version of him.

Sunshine?

Faraan's fingers curled up in a fist. He suddenly got angry. His brother was so happy with the girl who should have been his. He snatched her away from him. He shouldn't be joyous. He didn't deserve to be after robbing him off of his thing.

"You are not helping me. You are annoying me." Ajwa's voice brought him out of his thoughts.

Not only him but even she also seemed satisfied with him. Why it was always him who had to get defeated by his twin? In every part of life. He was so empty-handed right now while Faris was so prosperous after injecting poison into his life. Faraan had lost everything; from money to women to happiness.

"Faris, what are you doing?" She muttered.

"Everyone is sleeping, sunshine. It's nighttime," he enlightened her.

The way he was calling her by this name made Faraan furious. Not only he was pleased but the fact that he was with Faraan's fiance irked him more.

Faraan wasn't a child to not understand what was happening out there. He moved his feet to go inside but as soon as he reached there, he found Faris near the kitchen table while Ajwa was facing the sink, washing the used cups. But the crimson red on her cheeks was very apparent and proof of their happy marriage. This inflicted his blood to boil.

Faris had made a big mistake by claiming something which was his originally and Faraan would not sit back as a coward like this.

"Oh, you guys are here," he mumbled in fake shock.

"Yes, we were just having some coffee. Do you want to have some?" Faris asked him out of consideration.

Faraan shook his head. "No. Thanks for asking. I was just craving for a meal. Feeling a bit hungry."

He right at this moment looked at Ajwa whose blush was long gone and now she was applying soap on the cup with a clenched jaw.

Faris turned towards his wife. "Ajwa, heat the meal for Faraan."

Ajwa stiffened and gave him an exasperating look but seeing the resolve in his eyes, she kept her mouth shut. She had already promised Faris that she would not continue with this. He had asked this from her with so much hope that she couldn't reject it. She loved him and that was a very minor thing that she would just bear with his twin.

Ajwa nodded. "Okay."

This made Faris let out a sigh of relief but at the same time increased his admiration for her.

"It's okay, Faris. I'll do it myself. I used to do this myself before as well," Faraan quickly interrupted.

"No, Faraan. It doesn't look good. You sit here." He pointed towards the table.

"But you guys are even guests and I am making her do work for me," Faraan argued in a light mode as he occupied the chair. Faris also sat opposite him.

"You are my brother, Faraan. Don't talk like that...Tell me that is Dad's behavior fine with you now?" Faris changed the topic.
