The atmosphere was very cold these days. A cool breeze was swaying around causing the leaves and trees to waver around. The fog was making a thick layer of the sky. As the night commenced, the bone-chilling wind of winter started poking inside the skin.

He was in his room right now, half lying on the bed with a book open in front of his eyes. Beside him, on the side table, a cup of hot coffee made by his dear wife was placed which he occasionally used to pick up and attach to his lips before putting it back in its place.

As he took another sip, the taste of delicious liquid made him remember her and this made a small smile strike his lips. Even after five years of marriage, he couldn't get tired of tea or coffee made by her. She indeed had a magic in herself that intoxicated him differently every time.

After a while, the door of his room knocked slightly but before he could give an answer, it got opened by itself. A small girl appeared from the slit. She had grey eyes just like him but her dark brown hair and facial features resembled her.

She looked like a mixture of Ajwa and he himself to Faris physically. But as far as habits and personality were concerned, their four-year-old daughter inherited it straight from his wife. She was wild, talkative, and fearless. If she would be present at any place, you would always expect havoc in there. Faris smiled at her.

"What's up, doll?" He raised his eyebrows at her.

"Baba, can I come inside?" She asked, innocently.

Faris pressed his lips together as he set the book aside. "You are already inside. Come here. Give a good night hug to Baba."

Faris opened his arms wide and Eizal rushed towards him. She wrapped her small arms around his neck as he lifted her up in his lap. She hid her face in the crook of his neck and Faris pecked her hair.

She moved away from him and gave him a puppy-eyed look. "Baba, save me."

Faris narrowed his eyes in confusion. It was her sleeping time already and Ajwa always managed to put her in bed by now. What was she doing here when she already gave him a good night kiss a while ago?

Faris kissed her chubby cheek. "Why?"

"Save me from Mama," she whispered and Faris who was anxious at something serious happened couldn't help but chuckle.

It wasn't a one-day thing. It almost happened daily. And to hide from her mother, Eizal always took his help. The little girl hated milk and its taste always made her nauseous, but Ajwa was adamant to feed her one glass every morning and before sleep. But here Faris mostly acted as a peacemaker and somehow made Eizal drink the milk by getting her involved in his bedtime stories.

He got Ajwa's vibes from his daughter. She was the same fierce and rebellious as her. And when he handled Ajwa, then this was his own daughter.

"But Mama is right, doll," he told her, softly.

She scrunched her nose. "But I don't like it."

"You shouldn't make your Mama worried. She needs rest, you know," Faris said, patting her cheek.

"I am gonna be a big sister. Right? That's good then because when my brothers will be here, Mama won't ask me to drink the milk and if she will, I will give my glass to them to help me." She found a solution for her problem and Faris grinned at her innocence.

Faris pecked the baby's arm before making her sit on the bed beside him. Minutes later, Ajwa entered the room. When her eyes found their daughter, she sighed. She knew Eizal would definitely be hiding behind her father's back. She walked ahead cradling her belly. She was in the sixth month of her second pregnancy now and they were expecting male twins. Eizal somehow sneaked from her room when she wasn't facing her.
