The car ride home was the most silent one I've ever been in.

Jake and Addison kept on throwing glances my way as if the car going any faster would increase my blood pressure.
Even the chauffeur seems to know something was wrong but did not bother asking what.

"I'll be fine, don't worry" I say to Jake and Addison with a weak smile which from the looks on their faces was not convincing at all.

"Take care buddy" Jake says with the same smile I had on my face as he walked to his car with Addison trudging behind in her heels who gave me a hug and whispered,

"Things will get better, okay? Just take care of yourself, always"

She was right, I had a feeling in my guts she was but I just don't know when things will get better and fall in place.

I started walking towards my house where everyone would be expecting me to come back happy like I won a lottery, but sadly, I didn't win any lottery and I feel like shit right now.

I close the door behind me as slowly as possible so I won't attract any attention but that wasn't the case as my mom's senses had already alerted her of my coming.

"Hey, mi amor welcome back, how did it go...?" Her happy voice was drained into abyss as she saw the expression on my face. She slowly walked up to me and brought me in for a hug. I couldn't hold it anymore, I don't know why but i broke down in front of her. I cried.

I don't know if this makes me weak or strong but I just couldn't take it anymore. First my mom then my dad and now it's my turn to face the same humiliation from those at the top. Now I understand how my mom and dad must have felt, maybe even worse.

I did not know when my dad joined mom in embracing me until I heard him whispering,

"Va tutto bene, ragazzo mio" it's okay, my boy

"I'm just trying to..." I tried at speak but my voice has also gone into some kind of strike as more sobs won the battle.

They led me to the nearest sofa and we sat down. I could see the grief in their eyes but I know they only pretended to be strong.

"What happened?" My dad finally spoke after I have calmed down a bit.

I paused for a moment and began my narration of everything that happened that evening and my parents paying rapid attention even motivated me to continue speaking. After i had told them the events that occurred I could feel some amount of weight lifted from my chest.

My dad pinched the bridge of his nose as if he was thinking of what punishment to give us when we usually erred.

"I'm so sorry" he finally said after a few seconds of silence.
I wanted to tell him how none of this were his fault, it was all mine for thinking I could make a difference but for some reason I couldn't say anything.

"This is all my fault and you shouldn't be subjected to go through this at all, no one should. You're only seventeen and so far you've done a lot already for this family...", he paused for a bit as if he was trying to piece the right words together.
