Also, are you romanticizing? 🤔🤨

Daniel

I stumbled back somewhat unsure of what to expect but it surely wasn't this.

"What the fuck?" Jake was the first to speak breaking the tension a bit.

I quickly untied her and removed the cloth used to cover her mouth as millions of thoughts ran through my mind. Why? and How did this happen?.

I needed answers but where do I start from?.

Natalie immediately burst into tears as she was set free and hugged me which was what I did not expect from someone I've been avoiding.

"I-I'm so sorry, Thank y-you for saving me" She managed to speak in muffled whispers as she sobbed.

Hesitantly, I hugged her back slowly which seemed to make her only break down more and I don't think she cares who saw her at her current state at this point.

"It's alright" I said to her as I rubbed circles around her back.

"Um, We'll leave you guys for a bit" Marc said with a warm smile and ushered the rest to do the same.

I gave him a grateful smile for his understanding tho I knew we still need to sort out our own problem but as they say, solve one problem at a time and so far this has been one crazy night.

After a few minutes she finally sobered up to an extent where she could now communicate easily.

"Hey, can we go out for a bit, to get some fresh air?" I told her as softly. She nodded slowly and followed me out while still holding unto me. She was still a bit shaky and in a fragile state so I let it be.

Only Jake and Marc were waiting a few feet away from the door while leaning on the wall. Marc gives us a once over look which I only managed to smile at him and turned the opposite way which led us out to a mini outdoor space where we sat on some soft sofas while i signaled for the security to give us some space.

"Hey" I said softly.

"Thank you for saving me, I'm really sorry, for everything Daniel, I'm sorry, please" She said breaking down again.

"Natalie... stop" I said raising her head up

"Why are you worried about me when you just almost got killed?" I asked and that made her to make a ghost of a chuckle.

"It's true you hurt me so bad, I won't deny the fact I fell into a bad place after that for so long, I thought I would never get better but the truth is... I have, I've become better and I've healed... most importantly," I paused to prepare myself for what I've never really thought I'd say out loud.

"I forgive you"

That made her to look at me like I had suddenly spoken some unknown language.

"What? Daniel.... I-" she suddenly became confused on what to say.

"It's okay, I've forgiven you a long time ago" I said firmly.
