“Do you need something?” Elsa asked.
“No, I was just checking up on you.”
Those words made Victoria grit her teeth with anger. And the tone he was talking to her with, the gentle voice he was using, was driving her crazy. He just rejected her call only to call Elsa?
She knew it. She knew that he would not hate her if he knew she was Elsa. She knew he wouldn't treat her with contempt. She knew he might even treat her too well. And here it was. How she predicted it was exactly what was happening.
That was why she paid a lot of money to make sure Jeremy never found out Gwen really died and she had a twin sister. Her plans couldn't fail, not this quickly either. She had to end this. She had to stop this from going further. And the only way was to make Jeremy believe Elsa was Gwen again.
Just then, an evil smirk appeared on her face as she started plotting.
‘You think you have won, Elsa? Just you wait. What you are about to go through will be nothing but pain and suffering. And I will make sure you won't have a single day of happiness for going against me and humiliating me like this.
‘It will be pain after pain for you. And I know when to start... But since I am such a kind person, I will give you a few days to enjoy your little happiness before I snatch it away and turn it into misery.
‘You didn't know your sister's Viper life as much as I did, you don't know how many people she wronged like I do. And I will use those people to punish you.
‘And by the time I am done, you will not only be wishing you never tried to cross me, but that Gwen wasn't your sister as well.’
She would have said those words out loud, but she loved her victims more when their guard was down.
She didn't wait until that phone call between the two was done and just turned around, gritting her teeth with anger.
Her fists clenched. ‘Just you wait, Elsa Halverson. I will not let you off the hook that easily. You will pay for touching my man.’
Elsa watched her leave and just smiled with satisfaction. Seeing Jeremy hang up on her for the second time was such a beautiful moment.
Also, her coming here meant she hadn't talked to Jeremy at all, because she would have known he wasn't home and was at his office instead. Today, she felt she won over Victoria without even fighting. Without even trying.
