Violet starred at her reflection in the mirror, taking in the dullness her eyes held. It was different than her normal color. She had always liked her eyes, blue had always been her favorite color as a child. Not this, gross milky color.

He took her blue eyes. That ass.

She narrowed her eyes and glared. This was her fault, why did she suddenly open her self up to people? She should just leave, start up somewhere else. Go back to how it was, no one to care about her, and no one for her to care about.

A knock suddenly interrupted and Violet looked behind her in the mirror to see Bella enter. And Violet noticed the sadness in her aura immediately. Bella nervously tucked some hair behind her ear.

"Are you ready" the two girls looked at each other, their expressions on two opposing sides. Bellas of a lost sadness, Violets frustrated anger. Yet both held the same pain in there heart. Violet began to lose her anger as Bellas sorrow began to fill her.

"Are you sure I have to come?" She asked with a frown. A pause took hold of the air.

"......no, but I'd lik-" Violet interrupted

"Okay" she said, not having the patience "then yeah, I'm ready" her voice low and monotone. The voice Bella hadn't heard all summer, not since Violet had started to smile. Violet just grabs her bag from the bed. She came up to the door and gave the brunette a look as she just stood there. "Let's go"

Bella pulls up in her truck, a tarp covering something big in the back. Violet sat in the passenger seat, not wanting to get out of the truck. Yet she heard the door open, making her turn and see as Jacob comes out of the house. A huge grin covering his face as he sees the brunette that he's sweet over, the same girl that brings him insecurities and yearning. Violet took a breath in as she felt his negative emotions take hold, the young boys self-conscious thoughts being whispered in her ear.

"Bella!" He shouts with a smile, reminding Violet that his emotions she felt where deep in his head, instead of his surface thoughts and feelings. Bella hops out, and Violet watches as Jacob gives her a hug. She noticed Bella's surprised by his affection, but doesn't mind. She sighed to herself, deciding to open the door and hop out. Preparing for the third-wheel she was about to become. Jacob turned to her as she slammed the door shut. Giving her a polite smile.

"Violet, Hey" he said, taking in her appearance and frown. She however didn't care, as it was his own feelings that were adding to her depressing mood.

"Hey" she said shortly. He turned back to Bella, his smile and eyes glowing more bright whenever he looked at her.

"'Bout time you came by." He said. Bella gives a small smile in return.

"I brought you something." Bella pulls the tarp back, revealing her neighbor's two dilapidated, rusting motorcycles. Jacob raises a brow. As he looks at his "gift"

"Scrap metal. You shouldn't have." He says with a smirk and sarcasm.

"Rude" Violet muttered to herself.

"I rescued them from the dump. They'd cost more than they're worth to fix..." Bella trailed off and Jacob raised a brow,, seeing where the girl was going with this.

"Unless one had a mechanic-type friend..." he said filling in. Bella awkwardly nodded and fiddled

"Bingo" she muttered.

"Since when are you into motorcycles?" Jake asked.

"Recently."

"The parts alone will be pricey." He said as he observed the beaten up bikes. Violet bit her lip as she grew nervous. This had been her idea. Seeing as Violet thought it was safer than Bella getting on creeps bikes whenever she needed adrenalin rush.

"I have a college fund I can dig into" Bella said without hesitating. Violet raised a brow in surprise.

"Charlie's gonna love that." Jake laughed. Violet sighed to herself

"Tell me about it" she muttered

"Charlie won't know." Bella shrugged off. Violet didnt know how to feel about it, but didn't say anything.

"Wow. Lying to Dad. Blowing through college money. Repairing dangerous machines - and I'm guessing you'll want to ride?" Bella grew nervous that Jake wouldn't be up to the favor.

"I really get it if you think this is stupid and reckless."

"Oh it's totally stupid and reckless." He said in agreement. Bellas spirit falling. He leans closer, a grin growing on his face. "When do we start?" Bella face spreads into something Violet haven't seen in a while... a wide smile. As they pull the bikes off the truck, they laugh and joke; it's as though Jacob has brought Bella back to life.

Violet however didn't feel the same result. As she still felt the twos pain course through her. And even if she didn't, she'd have to deal with herself.
