The day had been going by at an extremely slow pace. Violet had a small frown as she sat at her lunch table, knowing sadly only half of the school day was over. Her hair in a low ponytail she played with the ends as she bit into a apple. Flipping a page.

She looked up as she saw a familiar brunette from the corner of her eye. Bella carries her tray to an empty table, but looks over at Mike, Angela, Jessica and Eric. Bella takes a breath, then casually joins them. They take note, but keep talking. Violet smiled lightly at that, happy that her time with Jake really seemed to be helping her.

Before she could look away and back at the comic suddenly a body obstructed her view of Bella. As she looked up she saw a smiling boy looking down at her. He was a thin boy with brunette hair and freackles covering his face. He had kind eyes and cute dimples that could make anyone want to pinch.

What was most surprising was the fact it wasn't his back facing her, and instead his chest.

"Hey" he greeted before dropping into the seat opposite of her. Her nerves began to scream.

"...Hi" she muttered quietly. Her mind thinking about a thousand reasons he was here. Without a second more she felt his misery begin to come over her. Guilt, sadness, fighting parents.

"Whats your name" He asked with the same smile. Violets mind began to panic as she relaid he asked a question, for some reason she began to feel like she was on a game of  Jeopardy

"I dont know" she sputtered unsure. Almost forgetting his question and just assuming she didn't know. A pause took hold as he raised a confused brow.

"...you... dont know your name?" He asked. She cringed at herself and shook her head

"No. I mean yes..I know my name" she said with a frown and a internal scolding. The boy just smiled again, seeing she was struggling he decided to give her a second and introduce himself.

"Im Kaden" he said. He didn't hold out a hand, which made sense as this didn't seem formal. Violet just nodded, wishing he would just go away.

"Okay" she nodded. Another pause followed, he gave her a expectant look. She just looked at him in confusion. He chuckled

"Are you going to keep me in suspense?" He asked with a teasing tone. She rasied a brow, feeling uncomfortable.

"About what?" He smiled genuinely but his eyes held amusement.

"Your name"

"Oh my gosh." She cringed at herself. Her cheeks redeneing. "Violet"

"Cute" her eyes widened and she suddenly looked down at her comic infrount of her. Silence following as she didn't respond. Just looking at her comic. He raised a brow.

"Your going to ignore me now?" He asked. Without looking at him she nodded

"Yes" she muttered. She heard him sigh and stand up.

"Okay, I can take a hint. Maybe ill see you around" he said, pauseing before he left for her to answer. She just shrugged

"Its a small school" she said.

"Bye Violet" she wasn't going to answer, but he stood there till she did. She sighed.

"...Bye"

"You look scared."

"I'm not".

"She's lying." Violet said as she stood with her arms crossed several feet away from the two. She observed Bella, she's straddling the now completed motorcycle. Jacob stands next to her, holding the bike up. There's an intimacy to their proximity.

Violet felt awkward in the presence of the two, the tension between them growing worse through the weeks.

Jacob runs through the instructions:

"Brake?" she taps it "Clutch?" she squeezes it "Right. Gas?" she grips it "You ready?" Bella nods. Jacob grins... then she kick-starts the bike.

"Slowly... release the clutch." She does... the bike moves forward an inch -- Jacob cautiously steps back. She moves forward another inch . Violet frowned when suddenly Bellas  hand slips off the clutch, the bike bucks and falls on top of her. Jacob quickly lifts it off her.

"You okay?"

"I'm going again."

"I'm not sure that's a good-" Bella quickly rises and hops back on.

"Guess we're going again." Violet muttered with a worried tone.

"Now what are you going to do with the clutch?"

"Release it. Slowly." Jacob nods. Then kick-starts the bike again. She releases the clutch and moves forward.

Violet sighed as she watched nervously.

She keeps going, a little faster. As the wind flings her hair back. She gathers speed... and for a moment, experiences pure freedom, exhilaration... then she sees the curve in the road ahead, and realizes...

"I don't -- how do I turn!?" yelling to Jacob. Violets eyes widened.

"SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO TURN?" She yelled.

"Bank it! Bank hit the brake!" Jacob races toward her. She reaches the turn, doesn't bank, goes straight... and flies right into a wall of trees. As she lies on the ground dazed, Jacob hurries up.

"What, are you training for the X-games?"

"Next time ask how to turn BEFORE you take off!" Violet yells as she approaches

"He's gone... I want to go again." Violet sarcastically chuckled

"Forget it. I'm revoking your motorcycle privileges."

"For once I agree with hot-head" Violet nodded

"Man, look at your head." Indeed, blood drips down her forehead. He pulls off his shirt to mop it up. She shrinks away.

"God, I'm sorry."

"You're apologizing for bleeding?"

"It doesn't... bother you?"

"It's just blood, Bella." He bends over her, carefully tending her head. She finds herself looking at him. His dark eyes, his bare chest and smooth skin. He glances at her.

"What are you staring at?"

"Your sort of beautiful" He's surprised; there's a moment between them. He smiles.

"How hard did you hit your head?"

"I dont know" Violet rolled her eyes at the two. Both seemely forgetting the brunette would need stitches from the bike crash on the motorcycle Charlie was unaware of.

"Cute" she muttered sarcastically
